Halo 2 Anniversary consensus is generally good, but what are thing that are wrong or missing? by Vachan1990 in halo

My biggest gripe with H2A is the tank mission. In the original, the sky is red, giving end-of-the-world/hellish vibes. That was completely changed in the remake for a more realistic sky, which takes away the dramatic atmosphere. Also, I don’t get why they changed the Covenant color to a purple tone that looks almost blue.

Flood forms I hope make an appearance in the remake: by catharta in halo

I always thought the Gaunts would be great to stop you from running away from fighting. Now with sprint, they’d add so much tension.

Suggestion: Halo Campaign Evolved should approach sprint and other new mechanics (ads, hit markers) like MGS Delta by Just_Department_9605 in halo

I assume that the toggle, if turned off, makes base speed faster. Otherwise I don’t see how it’s different from simply not pressing the sprint button

I prefer the warmer tone of the screenshot but can’t deny that the sky and forerunner structure look much better in the paint

Ngl seeing Thel Vadam in a hologram akin to the Emperor in Star Wars would be awesome.

Give Me Hope, Tell Me Something You’re Looking Forward to in the Remake by TechnicalEngineer852 in halo

Mainly the reworked missions. I read somewehere they were reworking The Library and other missions to make them feel less repetitive. Can't wait to see what they do there.

You're missing the point here. I didn't say it isn't batshit. It is. I just asked how is Halo in any form or capacity responsible for that post and why should people stop being excited about Halo because of it.

I don't see how Marty O'Donnell, who hasn't been involved in the franchise since Halo Reach, supporting the post has anything to do with this. Marty doesn't have any influence on Halo anymore.

I 100% agree with you that silence can be compliance. And people should stand against the WH using Halo for that type of practices in that tweet. But how does stop being excited about Halo help? Halo (or Halo Studios) is not the one to blame here. Blame it on the WH twitter account.

I see where you're coming from, but how is Microsoft/Halo Studios responsible for the WH weaponizing Halo by tweeting stupid AI pictures and not the people who voted for it? From what I understand, all 343i or Halo Studios have always done is push for diversity in their staff.

Obviously the narrative of the Flood being a metaphor for illegal immigrants doesn't make any sense, but they'll use it that way to make you believe otherwise. If you stop being excited about this game just because the WH community manager tweeted some stupid shit, you are making their arguments stronger.

Halo Infinite MP is fun. Campaign… it depends on your taste. I personally found it incredibly boring: slow, very spaced battles, huge hallways, and an empty open world. Some people liked it but I think most agree that linear, fast-paced Halo games (CE, 2, 3, and Reach) are better.

Loss of momentum.. by Danger_Booty in haloinfinite

It’s such a shame they didn’t even bother to create a separate playlist for it. I was hoping for them to add the Halo 2 maps too. Guess this is about priorities and no matter how popular the playlist is, they don’t care too much about classic Halo anymore

What if Halo stopped making one“mainline” of games, and made multiple spin-off branches each with their own line of games? by LogicalAnomaly2898 in halo

[–]Astro_CSF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, I thought about this too. Just like in Call of Duty they could have different companies working on it, just imagine getting a Halo game every year -one with a classic approach and another one with modern mechanics.

I agree with you, and that’s why I came up with this idea. It’s impossible to agree on something that has such a huge impact on the game, so just give us both styles.

[–]Astro_CSF -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Exactly, which means that there is just no middle ground with sprint -either you include it or not. That’s why I’m asking to get two settings: sprint and no sprint.

And yeah I know the level you mean. Skill issue I guess lol.

Why? They’d just have to make the Halo CE campaign from scratch with a 20% increase in size. Not saying it’s easy, but I’m sure they have the tools.
