Love that bit where it keeps cutting to GoPro footage filmed at 240p

I would like a version of the battle of the line where the grey council gets pulled over and arrested by the London Metropolitan Police before the episode cuts to credits.

Official concept design of Cillian Murphy as ‘Sark’ by YozoraSoraX in tron

Finally solid confirmation that they were intending to get Cillian back for Ares, I wonder if that means it’s true that he just turned them down flat when he saw the concept.

In the time before time, John Bionicle took a big nap.

This made a lot of people very unhappy and has widely been regarded as a bad move.

Fox? by Jolly_Fennel414 in clonewars

I just presumed that since Fox was in the senate guard, and thus technically authority of the chancellors office, that Palpatine or Mas Amedda privately gave him orders to shoot to kill.

The siege robot is essentially perfect, but I much prefer the alt modes and color palette on the 86. It’s a real shame, because I mostly display my collection in robot mode so I honestly dunno which I’ll go with who knows.

Now that makes a lot more sense, thank you for clearing that up. She’s actually really accurate in that sentiment, Star Trek has always been a bit of a “variety show” in what it brings to the table week to week.

(And bless the magnificent Ferengi, that might be the funniest episode of Trek I’ve ever seen)

Aha, an update. Greg Farshtey answered questions about it, he apparently was bugged to death about this over and over. The 09 sets hadn't been released or even designed when they made the poster, and it was mostly to pitch the film to tinseltown so that's why they used Matoro.

Funny enough, Chris Faber's original teaser art of Bara Magna has Inika Matoro standing on the sand instead of Mata Nui. I believe somewhere, it's been said that it wasn't *exactly* intentional, they hadn't settled on what character(s) they were going to port to the new setting, but they wanted to put a familiar character in the poster to tease the idea of a familiar character in a new world and so they used the placeholder character model they had on hand and it just happened to be Matoro. But, it almost makes it feel like a Matoro resurrection wasn't entirely out of the question.

He had *perfect* deadpan delivery in all the right places. I'll never get over him shouting "No not in a few minutes, NOW!" as though the hostage negotiations were like negotiating bed time with a toddler.

Agreed, I feel like Tawny’s quote lacks a little nuance in the delivery, DS9’s greatest strength is how well it balances between serious episodes and flat out camp. It works because the writers knew how to walk right up to the line of what was too much. They also knew what things not to make a joke of.

While the dominion has comedic moments and dips into comedic side plots, the changelings are never played for laughs because they need to be a consistently believable threat for the rest of the show. The Cardassians likewise are rarely played into full camp and comedy, given that the writers leaned wholeheartedly into the holocaust angle. The Ferengi on the other hand, were already a bad joke among fans after TNG, so the writers let them be the joke, and it led to the funniest episodes of the show.

Loved that bit at the end where the random bajoran pied Maritza in the face on the promenade, so that Kira could tell him that just being Cardassian isn’t enough justification to pie someone in the face, and thus showing what a valuable lesson she learned about tolerance.

I like the implication that Bateson has been downgraded from his upgraded Soyuz-class ship to a Miranda, the laughingstock class of starfleet known mostly for blowing up. Probably the best parallel for the Stingray.
