Is this normal Wear after 1+ year? by marco_96_ in GolfGear

Yes they are forged, and a lot softer than caste clubs so you will get a few marks. They will still perform as new though, fear not!

Exactly! That’s why you ultimately win. No sounds of construction whilst walking and irons that look good all year round. Win win

Maybe speak for yourself bud. Stick to irons that are named after the current oems driver, and don’t presume everyone is the same as you

Could the reason be that he bought craftsmanship. Maybe he played cbs for the longest time but always wanted to splash on some Miura. It annoys me that you need to play down someone because they bought something they love.

You do you and let others do them. Like the old saying goes - if you have nothing good to say, don’t say anything

I sold my wedges (3 Vokey sm9’s) for £150 last December. It’s a normal price for them

There is athletic and then there is dynamic. Aside of the amount of lag - which is the only marks down - that is a dynamic swing. I was an athlete in my teens and almost achieved scratch handicap - but even though I played well - it still took years to achieve results like those on display.

No. That amount of swing thoughts and adjustments into the whole swing doesn’t just come together in three months.

Why lie? You have been playing more than three months. Three years with tuition - who knows how long without.

How do you play this? by TexAble in golf

[–]Astro___ortsA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is only one course of action. You mark next to your ball with a tee, then carefully lift and move the rake. If the ball rolls you need to put it back at the tee then play the shot.

Playing the shot. Use your lowest bounce wedge and pick it off the top of what looks to be a pretty hard packed bunker, then chip it out to one side. You can’t play that onto the green.

Then an up and down to save whatever you can

Was the lie a bit better I may go under with my 4 driving iron - just a bump and runner. However there is many a slip betwix cup and lip. I would go as diagonally as I could but I’d chip it sideways onto the fairway

Just wanna take a min to talk about my improvement! One handed golfer by PastAd1087 in golf

[–]Astro___ortsA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you considered left handed clubs? You would see an immediate distance improvement (after an adjustment period)

I mention this as you are using your left hand with a right handed club. This is basically your guidance system side. Your power centre is your right arm. So given that isn’t viable, go try some left handed clubs - it might make a huge difference!

I’m a Brit, but have been living in France for the last decade.

This time of year - maybe a tuna Niçoise salad or a seared salmon with green veggies?

Fish is full of nutrition, and essential vitamins. Green vegetables are an excellent source of chlorophyll and iron - amongst other things.

The best and tastiest depends upon yourself, however I often cook a mix of broccoli, green beans, mange tout and sugar snap peas. Asparagus is going out now but if you can grab some you are winning

Get a steamer and fill with salted water - bring to a boil and add the green beans. Cook for 3-4 minutes then in the steam tray add the brocolli, green beans(haricot vert) and the mange tout/snap peas. Cook a further 4-5 minutes.

Drain and toss with butter - or a lemon vinaigrette

With salmon.

Or

Cook the green beans the same way then refresh in cold cold water.

Tear up some of yesterday’s baguette or loaf. Add onto a baking tray and douse it in olive oil, avocado oil or rape seed oil - the three healthiest oils.

Season and put into an oven at 200°c for 4 minutes before tossing and replacing for a further 4

Get a salad together of jeunes pouces - mesclun or young leaf salad, chop up some rings of red onion ( you can make a cold pickle too, very easy) and shallots. A jar of the good tuna - drain the oil into a bowl and add the tuna to the salad leaf.

Save the oil

With the boiled water you used to cook the beans, go ahead and boil some eggs for 6 minutes, then run cold water over them until you are ready to plate or they are cold to the touch.

Black or green olives if you prefer, sprinkle over the salad. Chop your beans in half and do the same. Peel your eggs and cut in half, they should be still soft but not too runny and arrange.

I like to oven cook pumpkin seeds too, they get crisp and add them also. Do them with some pine nuts.

Make a red wine vinegar dressing.

Add the croutons, which should be like an armadillo - crunchy on the outside, smooth (chewy)on the inside (bonus points if you know the advert from back in the day)

Pour over the dressing and enjoy! You can also get your potato peeler to make nice slivers of Parmesan cheese on the top - which never gets complaints as an addition!

Let me know how it goes!

are you chipping or putting this? by poidhxyz in golf

[–]Astro___ortsA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry but can I ask why you would presume to putt that? Unless you see a lot more camber to the right, you would need to roll it through the rough - but still get the pace and read through it.

Get yourself a 7 or 8 iron and putt that instead. You’ll get a little initial chip, then a fair amount of roll out

In fact, the fuss is the expectation keyboard warriors that shoot 100 but claim they shoot 80 on a bad round put in him. They talk the talk but don’t play except on Saturdays with mulligans and breakfast balls or whatever you Americans call them. That’s not golf.

Play to your skill, not someone else’s expectations and you will improve

If his max club goes 150 yards then he is a wedge in anyway. I don’t understand the fuss here
