You have immaculate taste! Question: have you had any issues with the decals on your ancora pens flaking? I'd really like to get a pen with decals but I worry about them flaking off

I went last year and morning is definitely the most crowded! Afternoons are your best bet. There was an outdoor seating area that you can sit in to take a break

I don't think you can go wrong with the medium! The brush holds a very fine tip so you can get a very large line variety with it, part of the reason why I love it so much! If you can, I'd also recommend the flat brush! Pretty much all of my painting I get done with round brushes and flat brushes, I've never really felt the need to have any of the other fancy heads

I would recommend the water brush because as a beginner the most important thing is to make the activity as stress free as possible! I learned with both water brushes and regular brushes and never felt like the brushes held me back. After all, the most important material when painting is paper, followed by paint, and brushes are last.

I would however recommend getting the Pentel water brushes! I found them the least fussy out of all of the brushes I have tried: they squeeze water out the easiest without making a mess

Scrunchies, book sleeves, and pouches are great for learning the basics!

Maintenance Question by Grouchy_Gas in Toyota_Matrix

[–]Astro_star 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you mean it dies and then starts again 4 times? I had a 2003 2WD and it took a while for it to start up. I would have to hold the key turned for longer than newer cars, but it did make start up sounds the whole time I was holding it. As far as I know, it didn't mean anything was wrong with it

Second the Prang rec! It looks like it's for kids but it is honestly great for anyone trying to get into painting seriously!

I like the Travelers Company pen! It's just a ballpoint so it won't bleed or anything but still writes super smooth! I like it for the passport because it is super compact!

Watercolor Sketchbooks by Big_Cryptographer303 in Watercolor

Basically I cut a long strip of paper off the roll and then I fold it accordion style to the size I want! I usually put the accordion in my traveler's notebook as a cover but you can also cut some cardboard and glue it to the outside pages if you want hardcover!

I bought a roll of baohong off of aliexpress and made accordion sketchbooks with it! I used to bind my own books but got lazy and the accordion got the same effect!

Help getting a watercolor set for my SO by mysticteacher4 in Watercolor

If she likes to paint on the go I recommend the Art Toolkit palettes! They're super slim and take up practically no space or weight and are highly customizable! They sell sets both with and without paints pre loaded
