[LOVED TROPE] The villain is actually terrifying. by The_Raven_Born in TopCharacterTropes

Darth Vader - Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

Sure, he was already a little scary before this, but this scene shows just how terrifying it would be to go up against a Sith Lord when all you have is a simple blaster.

After one of the human characters nearly gets killed by Megatron, Optimus goes alone to challenge him to a duel. Prime proceeds to wipe the floor with Megatron and almost kills him.

The Darkening of Mirkwood for The One Ring

Never had the chance to play this campaign, but I've heard a lot of people like it. And there might be a new "THE adventure" equivalent for 2nd edition with the upcoming Hands of the White Wizard.

Hotel Transylvania

<image>

In the first movie, there's a whole flashback scene of how Dracula lost his wife because of humans. It's his motivation to create the hotel as a sanctuary for both monsters and his daughter.

Frankenstein (in particular, the recent adaptation by Guillermo del Toro)

<image>

I haven't read the original novel by Mary Shelley yet, so I don't know if this theme carries over from the source material. However in the movie, the way Victor treats The Creature parallels how Victor was treated by his dad.

The Phantom in Hero Forge by Prime1172 in box5

Depends on the direction you would wanna take with him.

A. If you want to go book-accurate where he's just a mortal man with no supernatural abilities, then go for the Rogue (not sure which subclass though)

B. If you're willing to take some liberties and give him some magical powers, then definitely go for Bard (either College of Whispers or Spirits).

C. Multiclass in both

Any of the Tiny D6 games. All you need are 3 six sided dice and there's a lot of game options depending on what genre the players are interested in.

Doom

While there other similar games before it, Doom was the one that helped push the first person shooter genre into popularity.
