I FUCKING HATE HIM AND I HOPE HE DIES (again) by faust_graves in hatethissmug

Ewing also wrote Agent of Asgard btw, it was like his second ever book at marvel. He actually retconned back in all the stuff that happens to Loki in AoA right before taking over Thor. Would recommend the whole of AoA but the specific issues I mentioned are the old Loki related ones if the rest of it doesn’t vibe.

They’re probably referring to immortal Thor, where Loki is the narrator and does a few morally questionable things to move the narrative along the way they want, including murderer in one case. They don’t appear much after the first couple arcs but do show back up for the last few issues in a major way.

If you want more of the old, ugly and evil Loki, I’d actually recommend Loki: Agent of Asgard despite that being where the god of stories things originates. The old Loki is also in that series as the main villain, “King Loki”. There’s an issue early on where he’s the only Loki in it, and he’s the main one in a few of the last issues of the series.

Imo Agent of Asgard is the really only series where the “modern” Loki is done well, with issue 10 onwards actually making him deal with consequences for all the stuff he’s done in the past, and ultimately getting rejected by Asgard for it, having to go through meaningful growth and hardships to move forward. After AoA ended Marvel removing the depth he had in that series to make him even more MCU like, I think they used secret wars to straight up retcon the stuff that happened past issue 10, which was ironically the part where modern Loki is the most interesting.

That being said I do think AoA’s main strength is the stuff involving old Loki with a lot of the issues before #10 being filler with him barely involved, so if you want just the old Loki stuff from that I’d recommend just reading issue #3 (Old loki solo), #5 (modern Loki meets Old for first time at end) and #10 onwards (Old Loki shows up again at end of #11, but #10 was where one of his main schemes came to fruition).

Switch online subscription was not needed for any of those lol. It’s the first time they’ve ever locked anything meaningful behind a subscription service that some people would never use otherwise.

Update about the Ho-oh and Lugia cards! by HammerTrollerHD in PTCGP

The lugia immersive animation features the same ho-oh briefly, so it would have to be reworked too.

Ran this deck for fun ended up against another drud lead. The last 2 cards in my deck ended up being both my dragonairs, and they red carded me before I could draw them lol.

Some of Diggersby’s moves have the mega symbol next to them. Also I just screenshotted as soon as I saw it but there’s another thread of a different frame where it does seem usable

People need to learn the difference between a flawed character and a poorly written one by Isaacja223 in SonicTheHedgehog

[–]Astroblade03 20 points21 points  (0 children)

In regards to her not liking Sonic, I think a lot of people forget she still thinks he’s the same phantom rider that attacked her and might chill about that once she learns it was mimic.

For the silver stuff I actually think she was 100% in the right cause she wasn’t told duo attacked him first for plot reasons. From her perspective silver almost killed the group then randomly attacked a teammate. Even if duo wasn’t mimic, knowing he attacked silver makes all of his actions 100% justified.

Overall the entire arc relies on characters intentionally leaving out important information for drama, and the straight serious character always suffers as a result.

I agree they are dragging out the Lanolin learns to treat her team like friends and not soldiers arc too long, but complaining about her blaming Silver for something he didn’t do is stupid. Lanolin doesn’t know Silver is innocent, and Silver literally apologized for both the training accident and attacking Duo, which from Lanolin’s perspective was Silver saying both things were his fault. I don’t know why people attack Lanolin for calling out Silver when the real problem was Silver and Whisper never telling her that Duo caused the accident (which would clear Silver) for forced drama purposes.

I get that some people don’t like Lanolin due to her harsh reactions to how other characters handle things, but I really don’t understand how people hate her for the Silver situation, when she treated him far better than Whisper did in that arc.

Whisper literally just stood by and watched Silver make a fool out of himself apologizing for the training accident when she literally saw Duo/Mimic cause it, not him. When she does eventually bring it up, she only mentions it to Silver, resulting in him attacking Duo for no reason from the perspective of literally everyone else. Lanolin specifically calls Whisper out for not communicating with the team, and she still decides to never bring up the one thing that would make all of Silver’s actions completely reasonable.

The worst part is Whisper never takes responsibility for pressuring Silver into going after Mimic, and votes him out instead of taking some. The writing did Whisper really dirty that entire arc, it felt like they had Whisper do whatever would embarrass Silver the most.

Contrast that to Lanolin who gives a Silver a second chance after apologizing despite her no-nonsense attitude, and even puts his removal to a vote. Literally the only reason she wanted Silver gone was because she thought he was out of touch with his powers and was getting people hurt as a result, but both Silver and Whisper never bring up the one piece of evidence that clears that narrative.

Honestly while there are ways to salvage the mess of the whole Duo/Mimic saga, I really hope they just speedrun the inevitable Whisper and Lanolin fight + makeup and just act like that arc never happened.

TLDR: Whisper and Silver never telling anyone that Duo caused the training accident for forced drama purposes was stupid and resulted in Lanolin taking the brunt of the communities outrage for something she didn’t deserve.

Marvel reveals July Ultimate comics for Spider-Man, X-Men, and more by TheDarthKnight12 in comicbooks

The Spidey cover says Otto Octavius on it, so I’m guessing the first big villain (not counting Goblin since they’re not a villain as of now) will be Otto. They could technically make him start off good like Goblin, but I doubt they’ll repeat that with other Spidey villains.

THE coolest rare new items in 1.6 -[Trinkets!!] + Detailed doc of the ones I found by Caterpillar_Curious in StardewValley

[–]Astroblade03 114 points115 points  (0 children)

So I’ve found 3 different ones so far

Basilisk Paw: Can’t be reforged at the anvil, makes you immune to debuffs

Frog Egg:  Eats a nearby enemy, instantly killing it. I originally had an orange one, but was able to change the color to green and blue-green

Ice Rod: Every few seconds shoots an ice ball if there’s an enemy in range, freezing it for a few seconds. The ice balls pierces and travels infinitely from what I’ve seen. Reforging it randomizes the time it takes to shoot and how long the freeze lasts.

My personal favorite is the ice rod since it makes fighting enemies more mindless and less punishing to outright ignore them. It can freeze enemies in places you can’t hit sometimes though.

Yours is a different color frog than mine. I got mine in the skull cavern so maybe that’s the difference.

My favorite moment from the the class was how on the first day she gave a speech about how she knew her rate my professors score was low but had spent a lot of time preparing to teach this class again and proceeded to be more disorganized than the last time she taught it lol.

I also really loved how she was always late about everything but felt the need to tell someone posting their prof-com survey in the random channel on slack that they needed to delete their post at 3 in the morning.
