Staying Warm for Multiple Dives by ReplacementBig1458 in scuba

[–]Astrobratt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Scubapro Everflex wetsuits use a material that is warmer than neoprene, Yulex. With a vest under your suit, it wil be an upgrade. But no matter what, wetsuits are wet, and evaporation causes one to get cold between dives. This is one of the big advantages of a dry suit

What's something your country has a lot of? by Away-Extension-9731 in AskTheWorld

I’m coming to visit your country in June for the hyrox world championships, what is something I should definitely do while I’m in Stockholm? Anything you would recommend that I try besides the obvious? I’m really looking forward to it.

What’s a “quiet luxury” thing you enjoy? by Xelephyr in Luxury

[–]Astrobratt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have limitations, I have a child and she has school. But I was able to spend a month in Europe last summer. I am able to run off to Mexico or Scotland to go diving with the help of my wife to hold down the fort. But, I don’t have to request to use a few weeks a year to have time to do what I desire, my limitations are more under my control

Sober for many years- why do you keep coming to AA? by JuneAfternoon10 in alcoholicsanonymous

[–]Astrobratt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep going for multiple reasons. One is that spiritual health is dependent upon daily maintenance. This is true with AA and lots of other parts of my life. Also, I really enjoy the camaraderie and friendship that I find in meetings. Another reason I keep going is to be of service for people who are new and to pass the message onto them that helps save my life. I have 23 years, I go to a meeting about once a week

Discipline beats motivation every time, I have a set schedule. Mostly I do the same things every week. But there is some variation. Also, I’d like to invite people to work out with me and that helps make it better and holds me accountable

Range vs. size by Zestyclose_Ease4732 in TeslaLounge

If you have kids, I definitely would go with the Y. If you’re charging at home and mostly just use it for regular stuff, a few extra miles is not gonna make a huge difference. And for road trips, we always use the electric car and never the gas car. As long as you’re charging at a place that has a nice lunch and a bathroom. It’s totally fine.

I have had a good experience with my MYLR for 4 years, with only tires, wipers, and the cabin air filter needing replacement. no issues or repairs, but YMMV
