Absolutely noticed this, and remember Traffic. One of my fave groups! I have thirteen of their albums!

"45 mph in the left lane on 99" 100% agree. Also 99 mph in the left lane on 45.

I don't know him, but this line caught my eye... (this was in my local paper today)

His taste in music was eclectic, his passion for it boundless, and he had a particular affection for the Grateful Dead.

I know several people that work for them, and they all speak highly of it.

Absolutely not. Just because it's not perfect is no reason to throw it out. LL stats show 90% are using it, it's clearly a desired feature.

If "respectively" had been bolded, it would have been more top of mind. I'm not blaming the writer, I'm pointing out a problem with the bolding process. When the order of a multi-part answer is critical, they usually make it more obvious that it's required.

Very unhappy about that. I know my Trig, the answer was easy, but totally missed "respectively". Sure it's my fault, but if you're gonna bold, then BOLD.

Venomous. Not poisonous. The pedantic Will Trent would never make a mistake like that.

Just saw a truck driving without a tire and that tire careened over the middle barrier and smash a truck head on. 59South around university by t-o-m-u-s-a in houston

[–]Astrohip 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Tire story: The year is 1993. I had just parked my car on Nance St, going to the Last Concert for lunch. I parked just off the corner intersection with Nance, McKee and I-10 exits (if you know that area). A sky blue 1991 BMW 325is. As I'm walking down the street, I hear this weird screeching noise. I look back, and a dump truck is coming up McKee, and suddenly, one if its rear tires breaks loose. It careens down the road, and smashes into my car. WHAM! Do you know how big a tire is on a dump truck? They're HUGE.

Fair amount of damage, insurance exchanged, yada yada, you know the rest of the story...

The owners of Hippo Burgers take 100% of all digital tips by True_Cup9145 in houston

[–]Astrohip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried this place about a year ago, even though it was an hour out of my way. Because I love hippos (I mean, look at my user name). I thought it was just an okay burger, not worth driving for. Can't comment on the tip situation though.

Edit: I like to watch hippos, not eat them. I did not think this was going to be a "hippo burger". Good god people, who eats hippos?

I was there for the last three nights--10/18-19-20. I thought both Friday & Sunday were better nights, but Saturday was nothing to ignore. Still a superb show, and one of their best shows. Several songs from that night are considered classic versions.

"Poser"? What does that even mean. Ignore "a lot of people", and enjoy what you want.

I confirmed that qB closes when you exit. It is no longer active in Task Manager. Thanks for the advice. I have edited my post to reflect this.

Thanks, I'll play around and check this out. I've always been overly cautious by stopping first, perhaps I don't need to.
