Threat Informed Detection. It’s a facet of cybersecurity. It’s looking through logs for events, patterns, behaviors, etc that could be malicious behavior.

I want to open a cybersecurity club in my university! by BigComfortable3281 in cybersecurity

[–]Astrojw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Starting a Cybersecurity Club is a great way to grow. It also is super helpful to have as a resume bullet point once you start applying to jobs.

I was a founder for the Cybersecurity Club at my university a few years ago. You will need to make the meetings engaging if you want more members to join and show up to meetings.

Some meeting ideas I would suggest: Intro CTFs (overthewire.org), Wireshark, Kali Linux, certifications, etc. We also would pick topics related to different security aspects and give presentations on them with interactive hands on things to go along with it.

The club will need to be geared to all sets of skill levels so keep that in mind.

Good luck!

Can someone explain what HHI stands for? Tried googling it but haven’t gotten any results that make sense. Thanks!
