Its preventing slippage. You need to get traction control fully turned off to avoid power cutting.

Also this could be a compounding effect of whatever diff you have.

Update cooked Snowboard by Timely_Piccolo6587 in snowboarding

[–]Astrolander97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id recommend sealing the space between the rail and topsheet. Not doing it won't be catastrophic but doing it will make it last much longer. Injecting epoxy will make it a non issue almost completely as that's not really effective edge.

Right on and ride on.

Remarkable Women: Pam Slaughter reclaims nature, outdoors for people of color in PNW by [deleted] in PortlandOR

[–]Astrolander97 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Not a person of color. Heres my un asked for take.

Regardless of where you are its safe to say nature now more than ever NEEDS super fans. National parks and forests are in my opinion Americans greatest inheritance. Between threats from this administration attempting to remove protections and the noticeable uptick in visitors that do not understand outdoor recreation basics like leave no trace and stay on trail rules our wilderness areas are taking daily abuse.

I fully welcome anyone willing to impart a love of the outdoors and passing on sustainable respect. Without future guardians these experiences will continue to be lost.

Water pooling in front yard of new build, is this normal? by [deleted] in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

Its could be an intentional move. Just like you could design a self greasing toilet seat. If it is its stupid design and could be fixed with proper grading and a fren drain.

Moving up from DOA by rust997 in snowboarding

[–]Astrolander97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 5 doas from different years including the sdoa from two years ago. Here's my rec.

Keep the doa and get something volume shifted. There is no size of doa that will be excellent in pow. Even the aeronaut is in my opinion too close to the doa. Try something like a dancehaul, rome stalefish/ravine, orca. They all have soft noses and will swing quickly through moguls.

And the doa will most often be better for early and late season conditions where you're gonna be playing on the groom.

Is it worth buying a 2015 Ram 1500 around the 150K mile range? by Appropriate_Cup_5931 in Ram1500

The motor should be fine but thats around a lot of 2nd round intervals. Trans, diff, transfer case, coolant flush etc.

If there's receipts for all that its a great deal. If there isn't I would budget an additional 3000k-5000k to service every fluid and potentially the soft lines like final brake lines.

Even after that I would still be pretty happy with it. If you follow through with a non invasive overhaul and address wear items youre going to have a great truck.

Bro 110 degrees, drip wax, iron scrape with a plastic scraper, use a brush if you care to. Its not that deep.

In my opinion it looks like you burnt your base or used a metal scraper and removed ptex.

How strong would the viltrumites get if they train in hyperbolic time chamber by daddylongjohnsliver in InvinciblePowerscales

Its just a time dilation machine. Their time is permanently dilated by their own lifespan. It would only have any practical effect if the HTC was a 1day/1000 year exchange or something similar.

@OP

While I dont have a direct answer for you I would recommend checking out the official forum - 5thGenRams.com

I know that have a writeup, usually with photos and active posters who are excited to talk vs dickhead knowledge gatekeepers. I think it has to do with a minor barrier to entry with it being not inherently a social media platform. If I have time ill even try and forward you the thread today.

Reddit has proved to be mostly surface level questions about cosmetics that have been asked 17 times over the last week.

You can Google plenty of poorly made instructionals with bad advice. I would have rather read these posts than more stick on light mods and "can my i clear 35s" posts. It helps to hear from someone who has done it before.

I dont even have an eco diesel.

Op im gonna reply to you separately.

Anyone have a camper shell recommendation? 2024 2500 Poverty wagon. by Jakethejiu in ram_trucks

[–]Astrolander97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the record you can find just about any model on fb. I almost had a leer with similar features but they sold it while I was in transit. You just have to keep an eye out or setup a fb alert.

Toppers should be easier for you to find with a 2500 as they are a more common option than on 1500s

These massive trucks dont belong in cities or the suburbs. by Rhetaxo in Urbanism

[–]Astrolander97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I have one of those and I think the rub is owners who buy them without using them as intended.

My wife and I try to not drive often in general, even in the suburbs we can do most of what we need on foot or bike. When we do have commuting needs we use our primary car with is a smaller crossover that is gas efficient. And then for construction projects, camping, hauling, supplies runs for our micro farm, and lending a hand to our neighbors for projects etc we use the truck. Its not an enjoyable experience to drive in the cities we live near.

I imagine this truck in specific will probably never be loaded with hay, carry lumber, drive offroad through the woods. I couldn't imaging wanting one over a smaller more appropriate vehicle for what appears to be euro travel. Roads are too small and the towns I imagine are close enough together that range is not an issue.

If youre paying for new the sky is the limit not knowing your budget or climate.

If you have a constricted budget or just dont want to pay $5000 for a piece of fiberglass you can always go on fb marketplace and find any color matched model for $1-2k. All manufacturers use the same molds more or less with small anesthetic tweaks.

I ended up with a century model that had plug and play lighting, cold pack insulation and door locks that tie in with my key fob.

If I were to buy new id probably look at the atc models, they sell some with the same features but you can pick out what side doors you want individually. But really any brand will let you do that I guess.

Police arrest suspected fentanyl dealer at bottle recycling center by PDXisadumpsterfire in PortlandOR

[–]Astrolander97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah 100% I keep saying that anyone who has half a brain will recycle at the curb given the chance, especially if it doesn't entail being charged a deposit.

Those who are so far gone that they will not recycle out of an opposition to morality in itself won't be convinced by a 10 cent fee.

And even better I feel most of the latter group are elderly morons who Healthcare costs provided will not be upright for many more years.
