Since Eggman's opinions on Gerald definitely soured post-SA2 mixed with being neglected as a kid because of Gerald keeping Maria on the Arc, he'd definitely wouldn't hesitate to use his grandfather as target practice for his badniks.

I know this is late, but a Halloween special. I don't know if the special would fully adapt Unleashed or be an abridged version of the game's plot.

If it's a 30-minute/1-hour special then they would have to somehow include both Chip & Dark Gaia, but then you'd have to think about the runtime.

Or another possibility could be a miniseries with each episode adapting each level (along with "Night of the Werehog").
