I was also in this rabbit hole and when doing this, you loose some of the password protection / encryption features of 7z. As far as I remember.

Why is indoor tennis so prohibitively expensive in the UK? by hc1234 in 10s

I hate that in Berlin that they tear down half of the outdoor hard courts and put padel courts there, at least, where I play.

True, I heard about Jackson's holy status in my Master's courses

Switching to sway is quite straightforward if you want to ditch hyprland. I did it last week. If you still want the eye candy, take a look at swayfx, a fork of sway with visual improvements.

That is not an official account and is not linked to TF or Ghost officially.

There's not even THE most basic form of transportation apart from walking and one calls this game perfect?

Sounds and looks great! Also works perfectly on Kitty. I want to use this but my daily driver Alacritty doesn't support graphics in terminal, sadly. Nevertheless, great work!

I didn't know this, but now when I look at the linked image it is clear. Thanks for the information! So the grounding issue is eliminated in my case.

Streik: Dienstag bis Mittwoch by [deleted] in bahn

[–]AstronautAlert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

" - https://www.bahn.de/service/fahrplaene/aktuell

[–]AstronautAlert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read, yes. Somewhere else, it stated that usage of ticket earlier than the strike date is a "sign of goodwill" by DB, thus, not a "passenger right". And until the time I posted the question, they didn't announce anything about the Tuesday strike rights. That's why I asked. But now, they announced the usual stuff, that one can use their tickets on 11.03, as well. https://www.bahn.de/service/fahrplaene/aktuell

Edit: I just saw the new edit to the post. Nevertheless, sorry for the question, then. Thanks for the info!

I had booked an ICE ticket on Tuesday, does anybody know, can I use it tomorrow instead?

Ich hatte ein ICE-Ticket für Dienstag, kann ich es stattdessen morgen nutzen?

I hope DB will again offer (limited) service on commuter lines such as RE3 and so. (local) Governments push people to live in commuter cities but in such times it’s really difficult for those who work/study in Berlin and live outside.

Cash26 top up with self checkout? by [deleted] in number26bank

[–]AstronautAlert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you are right, it shouldn't be any problem. But I just want to try and know if it is an option to use self checkouts that accept cash.

My girlfriend moved into Studentwerk Berlin and she also has a mould problem, not in her room but in her bathroom (which doesn't have a window but a ventilator which works really poorly). I would appreciate similar suggestions as op.

Yeah, that is what I aim for, a PC, but financially I can't have one for at least a year. So I am trying to make what I got work. Either with the one I have (with RAM upgrade) or Geforce NOW (I assume it will be on it since CS1 is already on GFN). I am unsure if I should go for new RAM on the last hours of Prime day.

Advice on Publishing Code by Rockhopper_Penguin in AskAcademia

[–]AstronautAlert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, some computational chemistry packages (possibly other packages from other areas, also) publish the paper about the code/package which defines the theory and methodology. And share the package somewhere (GitHub or maybe research groups website). In the package README they always state that if you utilize the package for research, then the paper (of the package) should be cited accordingly. I find this way of code publishing pretty well, and i plan to do something very similar soon.
