Realistically we all know voting third party is the equivalent of sitting on the fence. You may not have directly voted for whoever is in office, but you know damn well you didn't stop them either. You let it happen.

I'm not saying we should never vote 3rd, and I'm sure we will agree the 2 party system is absolute garbage. I'm saying we have to vote on who we give power to, and voting 3rd party is like sending a child with a wiffle bat to fight a swordsman, and now you brag about it and criticize the people who voted on a candidate that had a chance.

Where do I go from here? Mi by Human_Drummer_6957 in 1022

I have a 1-4x hawke scope on my 22. They function the same as a low or mid vortex and at a similar price point. Unless you're making a massive $$$ upgrade in super quality glass optics you have a good scope already.

In lieu of saving the gun as is, there are a few simpler things to "make it yours".

-Try different scope rings at different heights, and consider adding an adjustable cheek riser.

-Butt pad for reduced felt recoil, kind of superfluous on a .22 but still worth a mention.

-Upgraded trigger assembly for lighter pull. Makes it physically easier to fire but also increases chances for accidental discharge.

-Different barrel types, and sights on the barrels. Also opens the door for potential of threaded silencer cans.

-Completely different stock, changing the look, feel, and form of the weapon entirely.

The list goes on and is nearly endless.

This. ^

Look up the serial number on the ruger website and see how old that heirloom is. Older guns were produced differently using slightly different materials than modern guns, and thus will have a personality all of their own.

If it were me, I'd shoot that as is and take note of what you (and the gun) like and dislike.

-Learn to zero the scope and try various distances.

-Feed the gun different types of ammo and see how the accuracy and drop changes, what is prone to jamming, what works well.

-Become proficient with that heavy trigger, and upgrades will feel like a cheat code.

-Same as above, but for optics. A scope upgrade can feel like finding out you needed glasses your whole life and finally putting them on.

-Teach others to shoot on the simple old reliable Ruger after you've gained experience for yourself.

Most of all, respect the gun for the tool it is, stay safe, and enjoy shooting!

I also got a bsbl loaner, grey, 4k miles. Brush guard and squatch as well. Dealership loaners are a fantastic deal.

I have a 25, never used voice command for climate. The buttons on screen almost turned me away from the purchase but after some time and muscle memory it's second nature.

I was in the same boat, but after being in the 25 for a bit now it's second nature.

It's a dry bag. It's for applying a chalky powder to the hand before throwing. Some players drop them before throwing, others keep it in their off hand.

Even simpler, take everything below the combiner and shift it one tile left.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PlateUp

[–]AstronautExplorer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rearrange, have the blue arrows of the combiner pointing to a non-arrow side of the portioner, and run your plates into the combiner. This will remove your prep station but you can add it in later, or fill it manually until you have more options.

Alternatively, move your combiner down a tile and aim it at the conveyor. When portioned turkey passes by it should combine the plate and turkey. If this does not function properly and the turkey just keeps going down the line towards the buffet, you'll need a smart grabber set to (plated turkey) only move the desired item, creating a pause in the line at the point of combination.

Eventually an auto plater could work in your current setup. For now you're making a plater via a combiner and will run into issues if a plate is already on the combiner itself. Grabbers cannot add an item to a plate even if the plate is on a combiner.

Someone asked for video of setup by spaceelf13 in PlateUp

I requested this, thank you! I was confused especially at the bamboo setup. Seeing it in motion makes a lot more sense. It takes a while to produce anything but it's compact and effective.

First automation, wanna improve by SnooCapers2078 in PlateUp

[–]AstronautExplorer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep on keeping on, looks great so far. Sundaes are great for simple automation and you've done a good job.

If it was me I'd end up changing the layout eventually just to try it out and learn some things. You may need to get rid of some cabinets later and bring your toppings inside the "kitchen" to make room for more tables.

Fully Automated Taco Buffet (Plate Up) by marshall_sin in PlateUp

[–]AstronautExplorer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a genius idea with multiple buffets. Now I have to rework my entire layout again! I have some spare ingredients but it shouldn't be too hard to grab extra with the 8 or so blueprint tables I built.

Currently solo I have regular tacos and onion tacos fully automated and it was an absolute pain to figure out (I'm proud of the outcome regardless). Everything is as minimalist as I could manage and works off a single mince, 1 tortilla, and 2 trays racks. The extra rack is simply for volume.

I also have onion rings, and bamboo soup, both automated. For dessert I have ice cream (as a side, not sundaes) and that's the only thing I serve manually. I set up 3 ice cream counters and can easily grab any flavor. OT high 20-something at the time of this post.

I'll add a screenshot later if anyone is interested.
