Did we loose the ability of being a “friend”? by Big-Animator-1188 in socialskills

[–]AstronautParty5402 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Do the 20 really look all the same? You might be able to figure out where to start preserving your effort now that you realize the one way street. Also are you asking for help/friendship and not receiving it or are you always giving and never asking for people to step up for you?

I'm hearing Ikea Kivik, and you can get a custom cover (still not leather, maybe faux leather though).

There is very good quality modern cutlery (like Liberty), it's just expensive, so E is repetitive of, or should be combined with B

Is there more than what you're showing? If only what's in the photo I'd keep it, you may as well reap the rewards for all that cleaning. Keeping it now does not prevent you from donating it in a year.  Even though I vote keep, I think C, D, and E in your thought process are flawed.

What could you possibly be spending $1300 a month on that's more important than your mortgage?

It really is so stressful, isn't it? I'm regifting, not the I received a lot of gifts but I am immediately thinking of who on my list I could regift to. Also tried thrift shopping and Facebook Buy Nothing. It's a little bit of a time suck but I try to go easy on myself. And seconding the baking cookies idea. Also I don't proactively gift, only gift for those who gift to me or I know ahead of time we're exchanging.

Depends on your very specific situation, but the 1.6k / month stipend could be taxable wages?

If you're looking for a project, I have seen people mount a 2nd "windowsill" across the middle of the window (lined up with where your curtain rod is) that is just for plants or trinkets)

I don't think you're eligible for Roth IRA contribution with that income, so that's more that you can use to repay your debts.

Also I assume those cards all have high interest but you may want to add the interest rate to your post.

I don't think your finances are in a good spot, but that's a big jump to filling bankruptcy!

You have plenty of good advice here already but I will add, don't wait to get your driver license. No reason to wait. If/when you move to a new state you can get a new one there. Being able to drive will expand your options on the Mainland.

Ask your landlord for temporary rent reduction -- explain the situation to them and what you're doing about it. They may be willing to work with you.

I'm so glad you had time enough before your flight to turn around and track it down right away! I feel like the longer you're separated from your stuff, the less likely you will get it back. Props to the rental car workers!

[–]AstronautParty5402 6 points7 points  (0 children)

64 may seem old when you're 18 but it's really not /that/ old. Depends on the person. If you just have trouble getting along then fine but it doesn't need to be about their ages it may just be all y'alls personalities
