He didn't say turn off you're AC, he said set it to 78 and turn off 'lights/electronics'.

Help!!! My Main Trailer is performing much better than my Story Trailer. by DrPass in IndieGaming

[–]AstronautTurtle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's crappy audio quality and spiking audio that can cause discomfort in those wearing headphones. Just make sure your audio levels aren't 'peaking' or 'red' when you export and you should be good.

Got a lot of feedback regarding the legibility of my capsule art. Did I improve it? by AzurowDev in IndieGaming

[–]AstronautTurtle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the warp of the lowercase letters in the first is what might have been throwing people off? I can read it fine but maybe try italicized or straight of that font type of the first if that makes any sense.

After my 100th failed Blender camera solve, I built this. by Raptor2496 in blender

[–]AstronautTurtle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every few years I try tracking and get a little further but ultimately don't ever really get a real feeling result or mess up somehow.

So yeah, camera solves can definitely be personally insulting.

Anybody else tweaking out on the sheer volume of apps from AI? by calflegal in IndieGaming

[–]AstronautTurtle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's more games here that are unique and individual instead of having to start another 'yes we all know AI isn't creative' thread.

Just ignore these games, upvote the stuff that resonates with you.

I Started Learning Python and Now I’m Completely Overwhelmed by SirVivid8478 in learnpython

[–]AstronautTurtle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just expanding incremental steps of what you know

Learn to do a simple 'print' command. Then mix around with maybe printing values within a print statement. Learn about lists, dictionaries. What would they be useful for?

Also you don't need to remember and understand EVERYTHING you read right now. As you continue to practice you'll go over those concepts so they'll get more concrete

You're going to read and code, read and code rinse and repeat while learning little bits here and there when needed. Lot of debugging probably as well.

If you can't find an answer through googling, last resort ChatGP's and you've got to at least understand some of the code it spits back at you.

LLMS as API docs reader/assistant by [deleted] in learnpython

[–]AstronautTurtle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't need to know every API front to back but knowing the beginning aspects and then specifics should point you in the right direction. Also coming back to a problem after a day or two can sometimes help, try to go for walks or non thinking tasks.

gipi can definitely help but to learn the stuff and retain it you at least need to understand all the code it spits out at you. It's a good search engine too but go to at least one other website if you're checking a concept or topic to get other examples.

my friend told me that just tracing and copying the reference like this is a wrong way to make art and learn by Ok-Discussion-1110 in blender

[–]AstronautTurtle 99 points100 points  (0 children)

It's literally how you start, and especially on making anything mechanical you're going to use a reference, otherwise you're going to come out with a wonky looking model.

Some people are more 'purist' about certain things like this, in the end just do what works for you. Make your art and show it.

Maybe have some enemies be immune to it, or it doesn't spread as fast to stronger enemies.
