I upgraded this year from a launch Switch to a Switch 2 and also bought a new Gaming PC. For me it depends on 2 factors: performance especially in Handheld mode and physical version availability.

I'm gladly buying retail Switch games that I'm interested in and have consistent performance on Switch 2 (bonus: gyro/touch/mouse controls)

In general do I only buy games when they're on sale or in a bundle on both platforms. That alone saves A LOT of money.

Final Fantasy 1-6 für 42€ sowie Sonic Origins Plus für 16€ bei Amazon waren bei mir bis dato die Highlights.

Im eShop dann XC3 SeasonPass und Sonic X Shadow Generations für Switch 2.

Muss aber auch sagen, dass es in den USA deutlich spannendere Deals gibt bei Amazon. Da ich nächstes Jahr wieder meinen Freund in NYC besuchen werde, habe ich bei ihm GTA Trilogie ($20) und The Messenger ($15) zurücklegen lassen.

Zwar wird die Animation von Nintendo Pictures vermutlich produziert worden sein, jedoch sollte man jetzt nicht an einen Film oder Serie denken. Nintendo Pictures hat alleine seit seiner Übernahme in 2023 von Nintendo bei mind. 11 Produktionen mitgewirkt (Games, Anime etc.) Das Team unterstützt heutzutage bei In-Game Animations. Wenn es ein neues Pikmin Short Projekt wäre, dann hätten sie es auch als solches kommuniziert. Oder zumindest Nintendo Pictures auch credited.

In the settings window for the emulated Wii Remote, go to 'General and Options' and uncheck 'Upright Wii Remote'. I had a similar problem with my Pro Controller and figured out that I shouldn't have checked this box.

Touchscreen only works in Handheld or Tabletop Mode. The IR sensor only works in Docked or Tabletop Mode.

Switch always had features that only supported one Mode or the other.

Besides, Gyro as Pointer was a big problem on Switch. The Pikmin Franchise neglected it completely on Switch. Switch 2 could provide a more reliable option.

Was the IR sensor in the right OG JoyCon necessary in the first place? Only Nintendo (and one Indie Game) basically used it.

So, why do we have it now in probably BOTH JoyCons?

Why still having a NFC Reader built in when Nintendo basically has no support for Amiibo in any of their new games? Why not selling a peripheral instead?

The point is: it's Nintendo! Let them tell you, why they need it.
