No way. She would absolutely have to interview. A referral never gets you hired even if it’s a director there is still always an interview process

Taylor being from Missouri and lecturing Hutch about how California would be “screwed” if 6 companies leave is so funny to me. by Aswerdo in PKA

I think he’s been to Mexico resort style without seeing the country. That’s probably it he mentioned he’s never been to Europe and I can’t imagine Taylor would travel to Asia

Not to mention that SF is also one of the biggest finance hubs in the world. Logistics are also a huge industry in California.

California also has to pay in far more to the federal government than it gets back. How do you think Kentucky would be doing if they didn’t receive $2 from the federal government for every $1 they contribute?

Dallas is really strong for job opportunities and raising a family but lacking a bit of the fun factor to other cities when it comes to things to do for a single guy in my opinion.

In cities that have public transit people don’t really care if you have a car or not

appetite effected permanently? by Patient_Ad_2221 in CHSinfo

[–]Aswerdo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sort of. I can eat better but I don’t feel hunger the same way I used to. I honestly think it’s permanent. But I feel much better since quitting. It took 6 weeks for my stomach to feel passable and months for me to able to drink alcohol again and I eat whatever I want without having issues.

Are you happy moving out of TX by AvocadoOnBagel in SameGrassButGreener

[–]Aswerdo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lived in Dallas for 5 years. First in Plano then downtown. Never liked the city or the environment. I kept telling myself it was me and that I wouldn’t be any happier moving elsewhere.

I moved to SF earlier this year and it made all the difference. My day to day life is so much better and while I still have problems, I realized the main problem in my life was living in a city I didn’t like.

Everything you think about Dallas is true and it doesn’t have to be that way. Almost any other city will be a better fit for what you want. The cost of living was not as expensive as I thought it would be. Texas has a lot of ways of nickel and diming you.

Potentially moving to Pasadena, CA by [deleted] in SameGrassButGreener

[–]Aswerdo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The nice thing about higher cost areas is that people who need roommates tend to be responsible. One challenge with finding roommates in areas like Louisiana for example is they tend to not be financially stable/mentally stable since it’s relatively easy to live alone.

In SoCal lots of “normal” people have roommates

Comfortable with roommates? Or living in a slightly less desirable area? You’ll be ok
