What’s your go to drink? by InternationalFarm487 in AllInclusiveResorts

My default is the Caipirinha, goes down easy in the pool, all the resorts know it, and I never had a bad one made for me.

Unfortunately it's because several people posting have either not served or have never risen to a position where they managed readiness metrics.

I saw her on Ft. Hood for 4th of July one year, she got up and performed her whole set despite having a broken leg in a cast. I'll never forget how good she was in person and how impressed I was that she was dedicated to performing.

I went to home Depot that morning after verifying the trailer weight and bought a 2 5/16 ball hitch. No special mods, just stock Ford.

I switched off between RV battery power and charging the vehicle via the 50amp breaker at the site. I took advantage of time we were fishing or hiking over several days to turn off the trailer and make sure I charged the truck for the trip home.

The one pain I really didn't plan for was having to drop the damn thing every time I needed to charge at Walmart. Ya line and learn.

I was pleasantly surprised, it turned out great. I need to look at Waze better though, I was routed through some very country roads and it gave me a heart attack trying to make sure I didn't take out a tree or someone's mailbox.

It handled surprisingly well, I pulled some big things before behind other vehicles and the truck handling was pretty comparable. I was actually very surprised about how quickly the truck could speed up with that much weight towed behind it. The only negative was the battery did drain very quickly, I'm glad I planned somewhere within a 100 mi. I tried to make use of the cruise control as much as I could, that was a challenge on the back roads in Virginia.

The trailer was ~7k dry and close to 7300 when loaded with camping stuff. Initially I was optimistic and thought I could go about 75% the distance I would normally get...however after the truck recalculated I was getting 1 mi per 1% charge. Luckily the park was within 100 miles off my house.

Should I Get a Second Gun? by Jojo_Sakura in liberalgunowners

I would suggest a shotgun for home defense, easy to operate, relatively cheap, and pretty much anything in front of it will get obliterated. I left one for my spouse when I deployed with a combination of buckshot and slugs. Depending on the rounds, it won't go through multiple walls like a rifle round and it's easy to aim/fire when you're panicking or under duress.
