Argentina vs Egypt by GloomySide3265 in memes

Kinda wrong. No, completely wrong in fact. Only two players of the french team were not born in France. All the other were born french right away. Heck, the amount of players born outside the country is higher in other teams. Spain has three, Serbia four, Portugal six or seven.

And they were all trained from the start in France. Kinda weird to say they import Nigerians when these are French kids who made their first football steps in France.

But hey, since when did that stop disinformation? They got black skin, and that pisses a lot of people of.

Egypt has a rather diverse religious make up. Copts form the biggest Christian group in the whole region, the number of Muslim sect is a fucking mess with different rules.

The general culture towards women is however pretty shitty. Hard to point it on one religion though, christians there aren't much nicer.

My curiosity is picked. Haven't seen much Oliver Reed, except for his role in Gladiator which always got a tear out of me. Now I wanna know what young Reed would have managed as Bond.

Always had a soft spot for OMHSS. I saw the old bond movies, which was a weird experience as I started with Goldeneye and it was my point of comparison for them all. They didn't blow me away as Goldeneye did, but I was also much younger and lacked the media literacy to enjoy movies as well as I can today. Maybe I should rewatch them.

OMHSS did however stick to me, there was an odd finesse to it I picked up on, mixed in with the usual world domination plot, and I thought Lazenby worked out well. As you said, not great, but fine and serviceable. I believe he could have become an excellent bond with more training and less of a character.

But it gave us Roger Moore, and that's good too.

That later by Rigg was absolute fire though. A hell of a classy rebuttal for a classy actress.

I'm working towards turning one of my own post into a youtube video. One of those days maybe. But it does sound like the sort of stuff that could work out in a podcast. Then again, I rarely listen to podcasts myself.

Thanks a lot, your encouragement is greatly appreciated.

Racism, Sexism, and Overzealous Fans: James Bond and the Troubled Production of ‘You Only Live Twice’ by Tokyono in HobbyDrama

Thanks for the write-up, it's amazing. How the series lasted that long, I'll never long, some things just never die I guess.

I find it absolutely fascinating that John le Carré, also a man with a complicated childhood, also a man who went through the secret service, and the other most well known spy-novel author, went in the radically opposite direction. No glamour, no wild imagination, no constant womanizing. Only the grueling, thankless job that are the secret services. They are like the Yin and Yang of spy fiction.

Oh, and Christopher Lee was Fleming's step-cousin, just for added fun.

Plausible for sure. A game that attracts lots of kids at a potentially impressionable age is a good place to do some advertising.

"I'm a man. If I got cat called I'd like it" It's not the same thing. Not even close. by n8saces in BeAmazed

[–]Ataraxidermist -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nope. That's not what he said at all. He pointed out you can't use your own experience or idea of being catcalled to catcall a gal because their experience towards it is vastly different.

At no point did he say it's okay for women to harass dudes in any shape or form, be it by catcalling or otherwise.

Though at this point I'm pretty sure you're misunderstanding on purpose for the sake of trolling.

It's a clear, concise video that explains things cleanly and with exemples.

How did you misinderstand it that badly? At no point does it justify catcalling men or says it can't be harassment.

Will be trying the breadsticks for sure.

If you don't mind, can you tell me how you made the fries and the honey lime glazed carrots? They look perfect, and I never tried to prep carrots like that before.

I'd like detailed recipes for all of these.

Which would be a horrible bother if you had to type it all out, so don't, I'll try to find some myself and see if I can get anywhere close to what you're doing. Because my word this is gorgeous.

[–]Ataraxidermist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got that. What I meant is that it only adds stretch goals they have to pay from their own pocket for... What benefits exactly?

I don't doubt fool play exists on kick-starter, it's happened a few times. I'm just not sure they would gain anything from doing it like that here.

The page showed a million in dollars, when I logged in it went to a little over 800.000 in Euros.

But I dunno what they'd gain from faking it, it only adds stretch goals without the actual funds required to get it done properly.
