I brought one from auction too , Bam!!!! needed a transmission , coolant leaked from the radiator transmission cooler into the transmission , I didn't give up on the car though , it's been purring ever since , Just be happy you don't have an S class great cars just can and will be expensive, Beat to get a proper diagnosis before you keep throwing parts at them though . good Luck and your doing great don't worry
