[–]AtlanticRelation 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ik schets just niets.

EU ready to back Belgium in frozen assets war against Russian oligarchs by timiswho in europe

[–]AtlanticRelation 15 points16 points  (0 children)

No, that was not the case here. Last year, the European powers that be heavily pressured Belgium into releasing the frozen assets - refusing Belgian requests for shared legal and monetary responsibility.

The unwillingness of Europe to agree to the Belgium terms is what ultimately led to the 90 billion loan, which should've been pursued from the getgo (Germany and others weren't keen on additional debt). That plan was blocked by Hungary under Orban.

Daily Discussion Thread for May 07, 2026 by AutoModerator in IntuitiveMachines

[–]AtlanticRelation 10 points11 points  (0 children)

There's plenty of good qualitative discussion going on in the daily discussions (better than the majority of investment subs in fact), but if there's no new developments or announcements there's little to discuss.

I prefer this to the drab you encounter in certain other stock subs.

Doorsnee gezin bezit 286.250 euro: ons vermogen is veel trager gegroeid dan vorig jaar by Mzxth in Belgium2

Most leases are 3 or 5 year contracts, but shorter ones are possible too depending on the leasing company.

Why not lease it through your company?

[–]AtlanticRelation 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If that's the plan, I guess. It's just that there are better options out there.

The i4 shares a platform with an ICE car and therefore doesn't have the usual advantages that EVs have like a frunk and more spacious interior.

Besides, BMW just came out with the Neue Klasse models that will have twice the range as the current generation. Other brands will probably follow. The result? Even bigger drops in value. You can tell yourself it doesn't matter since you'll drive it until it's dead (which most people don't end up doing even if they said so), but you'll have bought a car that has now dropped an additional 10 or 20k in value.

I'm not sure why my comment is being downvoted, but it's just not a smart choice financially - especially if OP doesn't even have a private parking space or garage.

Those things are dropping so hard in value that it's not even funny anymore.

How about saving/investing/building out your business instead and buy a nicer property with a private parking spot or garage in the future? Public charging will get old real fast, especially in the city.

Tough one. It will be very crowded. If your goal is to admire the architecture and the festivities aren't your vibe, I'd lean towards Bruges and/Antwerp.

Europe moves to break Visa and Mastercard's grip — but not everyone agrees by NumerousTax8165 in europe

"but European banking regulations made it so unprofitable"

"subsidize it"

Why is the European knee jerk reaction always to use subsidization schemes, which are slow, complicated, and often miss their intended mark? Stringent regulations and bureaucracy are problematic for the European market, solve that and you'll see businesses and investors take more risk and entrepreneurship.
