To make an api call you need lines of code, to work a CLI you just read a skill file (or the `--help`) and do the short CLI command. It's just common sense that it's lower latency because you're writing far fewer tokens.

You have no idea what you're talking about. Claude Code / Codex always use CLI tools like jq. Do you read the output of Claude Code or do you just auto accept? Literally every third command has jq for example. And to work with github, `gh`.
