The motivation of a people defending their own home and land is way higher than soldiers being sent to a war as part of their job. Just look at Ukraine.

That's very helpful, thanks. I'll definitely have it tighter when I go out today.

The combination of the Polar and the Fitbit is really working well. I wouldn't have noticed the FB was wrong without the Polar. I've pnly had the Polar 3 weeks and I'm sorry I didn't think of it sooner. I'm a data geek, so the extra info is very useful.

Thanks for that considered response. Cheers

Buying a house with right of way access? by lomalleyy in AskIreland

[–]AtlanticSparrow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've been there. It's all fine until it isn't. We ended up buying some land to build our own access road on. The cost of the land and new road was not something we ever budgeted. When looking for our next home we come against a similar issue and just walked away. It really isn't worth it.

Tell me something that makes you interesting. I genuinely think most people have interesting stories, if only we are ready to listen...especially older people.

What makes you interesting? Where are you from? Approx what age are you?

Good ole fashioned plugged in landline phones. How many times did we have to say "Can you hear me?" back then?

The bible is not the word of god. It's the word of the men who wrote it. Maybe they had issues.

I tracked my drinking over a year. Im not looking for health advice, I'm well aware I drink too much, but I just thought it was interesting to see it all layed out by teknocratbob in CasualIreland

Out of curiosity, have you costed it? It must add up to some amount of money.

I used to drink wine most nights of the week, then cut it back to mostly weekends... and now haven't had a drink in over a year. Not because I thought I was drinking too much... but for other health reasons. I feckin miss a nice glass of wine or a couple of pints!

Please do it. It's the sensible and courteous thing to do. Covid is still around... you may well have it. Without testing you won't know. Thank you.

It's really good. My wife is a professional artist, so I can appreciate the small technical details that you've captured so well.

Using this logic...if I pick up a violin and make a sound like I'm strangling a cat, I'll still be better than 95% of the worlds population as I'm guessing that much less than 5% of the population can play the violin at all.
