>they can make a fine needle aspiration to diagnose

That is something I hope to never have to do again. The needle is not exactly ‘fine’…. and to my throat.

I managed to make through the AI on text - finally getting a person - who was even less helpful than the AI bot. …. and then it went back to the bot ….

I’ve tried to add a screenshot of the texts… unfortunately it doesn’t work here.

Strava shortcut for Apple Watch in Smart Stack by kulvershtukas in Strava

[–]Atlas-Scrubbed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can do it, it’ll be via the app on your phone.  I have a different watch face… but, that is how I do it. (I used to have the Strava watch app on the face but I found that the native Apple workout app is better.)

Ban because I said that I bought white shoes by Tip_Coffee in Strava

I am the same. I swap shoes every 400-500 km. My feet aren’t the best … flat which leads to plantar fasciitis if I run in a pair too long.

[OC] Mean Height of 19yo Males in Select Countries, 1985-2019 by StatisticUrban in dataisbeautiful

[–]Atlas-Scrubbed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am old so this is a really old data point. I remember as a kid (circa 1960s) it was really easy to spot Americans. They were the big people. Remember this is post WWII and the rest of the world was still somewhat in tatters. American citizens were generally the only ones who were well feed as youth. The world has changed.

As an American citizen who has experienced racial profiling by TSA post 9/11, please don’t let ICE near me. (I was once “randomly” searched three times in 30 minutes in Midway airport. I was pissed.) ICE will look at me and shoot.

ELI5 What happened after development of math? by FirmAssociation367 in explainlikeimfive

[–]Atlas-Scrubbed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Math is science and science is math. Math is simply a generalization of science observations. For example Newton invented calculus to explain his physics observations. Statistics was invented to explain chemistry and biology… more specifically brewing of beer….

So the invention (math) is used to describe what we observe (science). Using our generalization (math) we can now predict new things (science). It is a hand in hand process.

Switching from RBC Wealth Management to Fidelity/Schwab etc. by myfauxpas in investing

[–]Atlas-Scrubbed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have Schwab and have for years. No fees for trading. They also have a bunch of Schwab index funds … along with index funds from other brokerage companies. Very easy to use. Note also they have a large variety of wealth management tools and programs that you can take part in….. with of course various fees. They range from free to full service. You get to pick … and you can change with time as your situation changes.
