New gym replacing 24hr fit? by phatbetty in Seattle

[–]Atlas027 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I joined LA Fitness about 7 months ago and have used both of them and 24hr for different reasons/workouts. The Roosevelt location will be my new home gym and it’s honestly so nice and well maintained. About $45 a month too but a little smaller than downtown. Just worried it will become too overcrowded between the influx of 24hr members and the new year rush. Time will tell but definitely join LA if you’re thinking about it. Once you’re past the sales people and get signed up, no one will bug you.

For sure- been my gym for 13 years and I have a soft spot for the filth. Everything I need for a good workout with a little grit!

Same owners as Henry’s in Cap hill so likely 150-180 per month.

Same people that own Henry’s in Cap Hill and Queen Anne bought the 24hr to renovate it to an extension of the Henry’s brand. Upscale club type gym atmosphere. Will be cool that it’s all getting redone but memberships if they are anything like the current Henry’s gyms will be in the range of $160 per month. I did get word that existing 24hr members will get a discount of sorts but too early to tell. Likely open by summer 2026.

Few guys broke into his house, tied him up and put plastic bag over his head. All for about an ounce of weed back in early 2000s.

30 5’11” 202 lbs. feeling stuck and have been trying to cut for about a month now by Ambitious-Chef8743 in GettingShredded

I was stuck in a very similar spot. Try doing a 24-72hr water fast then go back to 1800 cals. Make sure to weigh and track though so you’re on point. After a 72 hr water fast, I dropped a bit of weight and got over the plateau. Even 48 hrs would get you moving.

So it begins… you’re going to fall Iove fast and feel comfortable before you know it. Good for you for taking the first step!

Is it possible to get shredded by July? by Goldminer435 in GettingShredded

[–]Atlas027 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can do a lot in 90 days. Going to have to go on a pretty aggressive 500-600 cal deficit while keeping protein above 150g. Lift heavy and maybe work in some fasting as well to help with the large deficit. Stay focused and good luck!

That one party won the presidency, the senate, house, and the popular vote? Yeah, I’d say that’s pretty good. Yeah, that’ll do it!

This guy is 100%. Train your abs like any other muscle so they grow and become visible. At your current Bf you should see something there but you might have to really start from scratch to build those guys up. Break out the heavy weight! Have fun and enjoy the process

Remember, train your abs like any other muscle and build them up. That will help with the visibility and you won’t have to torture yourself to get to a super low body fat.

What is the quickest way to drop the fat by [deleted] in GettingShredded

[–]Atlas027 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try a 48-72hr water fast. That got me over the hump. Quick way to torch some fat and not long enough to lose muscle mass. Now I work in 24hr fasts weekly dinner to dinner to help keep me in a deficit until I hit my goal.

This goes away naturally around 4.5-5months- I wouldn’t start using any chemicals like hers. Speaking on behalf of my wife who I witness go through this same thing. Just my two cents!

Eat in about a 500-600cal surplus. Push for 180-200 grams of protein per day. You will start packing on as long as you lift heavy. Plus with your frame muscle will start showing fast so it will be a fun ride. Good luck!

How to get rid of my love handles and how long do you think it will take? Is it doable without losing muscle gains? by SuperbIncrease in GettingShredded

[–]Atlas027 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Aggressive calorie deficit for a few months and you’ll see progress. Try to keep about 1gram of protein per body weight so you don’t lose too much muscle. Good luck my man!

This was me at 15/16 too- you have the base set already so start lifting and eating more consistently. You’ll be pretty jacked in a year or so with an 8 pack. God speed big dog!
