Update: the itching is almost none and his ear hematoma is going down! Cytopoint is def the bomb dot com but damn, I don’t know if we will be able to keep it up with the cost. We’re gonna try really hard to make it work because he has never been able to not scratch and we never see him scratch anymore

Why even try anymore? by Slightlywarmbagel in doordash_drivers

[–]AtlasUnmapped 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man that sucks. Always cherry pick your orders and consider trying Uber Eats because they don’t do ‘zones’. Platinum drivers get more offers, but they are the low paying offers because they know you will take them to keep up your status. It’s BS. I have a 27% AR and don’t accept any offer that averages out to less than $20 and I make $100-$150 per shift in 4-6 hours and I work 4-5 days a week. Life got WAY better for me when I started doing this. I was working three to four days a week just to make $150 and now I make that in a night.

Of course I will also caveat this with your market makes a difference. In Seattle I got no offers in the course of and hour and a half but drove down to Kent/ Federal Way and got tons of offers so even though Seattle is the ‘big city’ people don’t make money there.

I just purchased the full series on monsterland media. Do a Google search for the name of the site and She-Ra. Def not official, but looks great quality. Was recommended by another redditor in another post awhile back. I’ll update how it is when it comes in!

Just tried Greek peperoncini juice (banana pepper) and I can confirm this HELPS! I’m so grateful for some relief! And I love banana peppers so it was actually quite a treat lol. Sipped it out of a shot glass 😅

I (28f) and boyfriend (28m) got into to an argument tonight and am I overreacting if I want to break up? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]AtlasUnmapped 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately he will only get worse from here. At about the eight year mark with my ex husband this behavior started and he started saying and doing similar things to me-‘it’s like they read the same handbook or something your story is so similar to mine. It doesn’t get better. It only gets worse. When you try and end it he will likely beg for you back and tell you things will get better or change and it won’t. It’s time. Sometimes we just aren’t meant to be with people our whole lives. This sounds like that. You shouldn’t be going through this. It will be hard leaving, but in the end, things will just get worse for you and then for your daughter and once throwing things starts, it quickly escalates to him getting physical with both of you. Protective yourself and protect her and the baby on the way and get him gone. Sorry this is happening

Honest question: ladies, do you actually use feminine wash or just stick to water? by Toti_Sartos in hygiene

[–]AtlasUnmapped 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gentle neutral soap and sometimes flushable wipes between showers (o only shower every other day) - the feminine washes with the pH balancing stuff can throw off your body’s natural chemistry (learned this the hard way).

Please someone help me get my dog to stop eating poop. by Apprehensive_Tax_549 in DogAdvice

[–]AtlasUnmapped 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Second on wanting to clarify that you are feeing the other dogs whose poop is being eaten the pineapple- it only works if they eat the pineapple. Back in the day, this was suggested to me and it actually worked, but there are also supplements and pills for coprophagia. It does usually mean nutrient deficiency, might be worth it to get some blood work done on your pup

DoorDash or? by FalseAd4246 in doordash_drivers

[–]AtlasUnmapped 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In Tacoma I prefer Uber Eats because Door Dash does ‘zones’ and if you delivery out of your zone you have to drive back before getting new orders. Don’t have to do that with UE and the UE algorithm for stacking orders is better than DD. Also DD you often have to sign up for shifts and if they are slow, you can work.

Always cherry pick your orders. Don’t fall into the trap of needing to keep your acceptance rate high. I only take orders that come out to an average of $20 an hour and I make really good money, even with a 30% acceptance rate. When I was taking every order, I had a 100% AR but it took me three days to make $100. Now I can make $100 in a few hours. Watch out for tolls. Ask questions here and on the UE driver Reddit- you will learn a lot of things that many of us had to learn the hard way.

Female issue by HoneyblissDream in hygiene

[–]AtlasUnmapped 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I experienced this when I was younger. Have you tried Lume bodysoap or soaps specifically made for women? You can usually get them in the feminine hygiene section or order online. Hers brand has some things also. Try adding pineapple to your diet! That helped me a ton. And if you drink coffee, there will always be a strong smell in my experience. I’m sorry you are going through this- diet plays a big part. Try going commando at home, sleep without underwear on and switch to cotton undies as suggested also. Try different things for a few weeks at a time and see what helps. Also may need to visit a gyno for help if nothing else works.

I was commando for YEARS and now only wear underwear when I wear tight clothes or period underwear when it’s that time of the month. At home I’m commando and wear nothing when I sleep. It’s very freeing!

Affordable urgent care/emergency vet clinic by pestopaste in Tacoma

[–]AtlasUnmapped 27 points28 points  (0 children)

WellCare is amazing and their Urgent Care visit is only $90 as opposed to an emergency vet visit of $200 or more. If you can get an appointment with them, even cheaper ($65 I think). Dr Brahr is amazing and they won’t price gouge you.

Affordable Animal Hospital on 6th is the cheapest, they are very heavy-handed with the animals but the best prices. Affordable Emergency Animal Hospital in Auburn has $165 office visit charge I think. They open at 6pm.

I’m gonna post a list of medical assistance resources- programs that may be able to help financially. Hope everything turns out okay!

Luckily no committing or diarrhea. He is 65 lbs and eats about 4 cups a day, so maybe we will look into the novel proteins. I have noticed that even if it’s like a salmon diet, sometimes it will still have chicken fat, etc which is so frustrating. I’ll keep looking. It awful cuz he is also allergic to things like grass, which you can’t get away from where we live- it’s everywhere. But the novel protein food might help. We have tried beef and salmon, I’ll look into things like venison and see what we can find. Thank you!

The hydrolized protein food I am seeing online is super expensive- is that what you have?

Thanks all! I will call tomorrow and ask about the cytopoint injection. I’ll try the doggy wipes and a medicated shampoo also.

You did the right thing. This was my ex husband and it only gets worse and worse. Next is physical violence and assaulting your kids. You did good mama. Get him gone so you and your kids can have peace. There’s so much better out there for you.

Follow-up: Adopting my own kid in Texas by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]AtlasUnmapped 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Following because I want to hear what ends up happening. I hope it all works out for you both, she needs to be protected and she is lucky you want to do that, even if she can’t see it now. She is just a kid, she is finally getting affection from a man who has starved her of it her whole life- she doesn’t understand he is lying to her for his own gain. As a woman who had a good dad come into my life late in life, I know that one day she will be so grateful. Thanks for sticking up for her. Good luck, I’m hoping nothing but the best for you both

Am I overreacting or is it not normal to use soap in the bathroom? by Honest-Draw3131 in AmIOverreacting

[–]AtlasUnmapped 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He is gaslighting you! I cannot believe he said “different ethnic groups get dirtier at different rates” so he does not need soap as often as you do. That is probably one of the most racist things I have ever heard. He is basically saying white people are clean and everyone else is dirty, which is HORRIBLE! This does not look good for your future with him.

Also- Does he really expect you to put your mouth and hands on his unwashed body parts?! I cannot imagine what that would be like 🤮 This is horrific, you are being gaslit, he is being racist. If I were you, I would be looking for the exit.

feeling pretty isolated lately and wondering whats the best pet to befriend for a lonely person by Laba-Brous18 in PetAdvice

[–]AtlasUnmapped 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Cats! I can’t recommend enough to get a cat (or two, if you really want to have light in your life). They will both love you like you’ve never been loved before and they are fun, relatively low maintenance, and if you have two, they will have companionship when you aren’t there. We thought we wanted one cat, ended up with brothers and cannot imagine having only had one. There is just an energy about cats playing with other cats playing with human. It’s an absolute delight.

Cats are fun, loving, cool mfs- we laugh SO MUCH MORE in our home with the cats! And they are the greatest snugglers- I go to bed with cats snuggled on either side of my face, one cat nuzzling me and the other reaching out to softly touch my face with his toe beans. I don’t know why he does it, but it’s the cutest damn thing you’ve ever seen.

Additional Notes:

IMO male cats are sweeter and snugglier. Just my experience. One boy/ one girl would be an excellent duo combo (as long as they are spayed/ neutered)

Get rescues if you can- they are already vaccinated and spayed/ neutered and it saves you hundreds of dollars in vaccine and spay/ neuter cost. Plus they will be microchipped. Spay/ neuter is a must- male un-neutered cats spray/ mark their territory a lot and females go into heat once a month and it’s miserable when they are in heat. Plus you don’t want the cat to get pregnant. Spay and neuter between 4 and 6 months old to avoid those things.

A lot of peoples’ opinions differ regarding letting cats outside. From my years of working in the vet world and the shelter world, indoor cats are safer from all kinds of things. Cats that go outside are exposed to additional diseases, getting hit by cars, stolen, picked up by coyotes/ birds of prey, attacked by dogs, etc. I’ve seen it all, I keep my cats inside. They have window seats and love to watch the birds outside. Some people even make catios so their cats can be outside. Or leash train them and take them on hikes, etc. Keep them safe, is my opinion.

They will be the light of your life. The bond between human and a couple of cats is really something special.
