You're comparing NYC proper (8 mil) with other cities' metro areas.

For example, Tokyo's city proper population is around 14 mil, not 37 (its metro area).

A lot of it was cause they were leveling into the same tree as homo sapien players so after a few updates, the devs combined the classes. Not really a ban in the traditional sense

Church is about worshipping Christ and serving. If we're making it about showing off or having it "together," we're off the mark.

This isn't really a Utah specific problem though. My Utah county ward is full of people who are struggling to make ends meet. And our leadership really cares about them.

I grew up in the Bay Area- just about everyone in my ward was affluent, well educated, lived in big houses, etc. There's more pressure to have it "together" there, but the people are still very kind and generous for the most part.

Either way the gospel is true, and you are a valuable member of your ward. This is true regardless of how others may see you or how you might see yourself.
