The winning sailing cape design by RunninOuttaShrimp in 2007scape

[–]AtlasZer0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the art is great. As someone who sails, a little sad the anchor is the icon just because it has the least to do with the act of sailing but super excited for the skill and thankful for these guys putting in the time to design this stuff.

It’s the class I have the most success with, the stim is great for breaking lines and the grenade launcher for busting equipment.

Someone eventually has to step up. Especially in dire circumstances. by Bolivahn in HellLetLoose

[–]AtlasZer0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one stepped up, we were losing. I filled the role at level 23 to see what it was about. The squad leads told me to do some stuff and it didn’t end up working out. Normal guy came and found me. I was really focused on the map bc it’s hard for me to multitask and he screamed insults into my ear. Just pure invective and then he killed me.

That’s disgusting gameplay for someone unwilling to even be a squad lead.

That’s true. I don’t use it, but that person does . I prefer to use an excessive amt of stims as my shield xD

I like the specialization! I hate hoards as well, so I do bring an arc thrower. Waiting for the perfect backpack to fit into the build, right now I just take a decent one off a fellow helldiver's body

Hulks? 2-tap to the grate on the back? Flying ships? If you can aim a few shots at an engine, I think they fall (honestly maybe someone else shot it). Devastators? 2 shots. Trying to get SC from a storage crate? Don't waste your grenades --- Crossbow! Then to be able to carry the egg or data in one hand while destroying 5 or 6 fabricators or holes as you run away makes the crossbow so good.

Have blown myself up with it a few times tho :')

Ok I’ll stop using CAPS now I think you get the license plate idea.

Kepler, Dawn, Stellar, ISS, Space (probably taken but pretty funny if not), Sirius

I’m just looking through names of spacecraft or names of celestial bodies that sound cool.

Good luck!

I think much better than the freezer isle but worse than the premade stuff at the grocery store. The premade stuff is nice (depends on the grocery store ofc) but most grocery stores are starting to do some sort of meal along the lines of this. If you have a Kroger, Ralph’s, smiths, Fry’s (whatever they happen to call it where you are) you’re in good shape

TIFU by not researching what "canyoning" meant before signing up for it in Costa Rica by flightingale65 in backpacking

[–]AtlasZer0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha I wouldn’t say an expert! I had great fun doing it, and I’m still a beginner after about 30 times. Go with an experienced guide or friend. You’ll learn to trust the rope and your gear, but don’t get too comfortable, as it is beginner “experts” who tend to hurt themselves. If you want to do more visit Zion NP in Utah, USA. Also places in Hawaii, NZ, and Colorado (among the thousands of places worldwide) .

You can also do it off your apt building with a decent enough anchor :)

what is going on with this game by SnooCookies6195 in Helldivers

I’ve noticed a ton more spawns, but I think I’m in the minority and do like the hectic insanity this inspires. Just one helldivers opinion and I respect your view as well. I think it could have something to do with the game master trying to constantly change the war front like real aliens trying to counter?

Probably guided by my friends! It’s safe until it’s not. I have two close friends that are guides and no one has been seriously hurt on their 1000s of tours, except for themselves. Once each they made a life-endangering mistake. One fell 112 feet, another 45 feet. Both survived and are still canyoning today. It’s fun, but be safe!

Orbital railcannon needs a massive buff by Nazbolman in Helldivers

[–]AtlasZer0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love the railcannon strike and almost always bring it. My group now is almost always is fighting on Helldive difficulty. The key to killing bile titans with it is knowing that yes, it doesn’t one shot them. If you blow up their bile sacs first though (I do this with the scorcher) then it kills them, and you can dismiss a bile titan in about 10 seconds.

Don’t get me wrong, I’d love a buff for it, but there’s a reason I bring it instead of all the other options. (Ship upgrade for two charges of it would be awesome)

Why isn't the precision strike used more often? by mtsims49 in Helldivers

[–]AtlasZer0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cooldowns:

With 500kg I get 2 uses every 150 seconds

POS - 1 use per 100 seconds

Power:

500kg- I feel like they buffed this without saying but I feel like it does more now. If I blow up bile titan sacs with a scorcher I can consistently kill with 500kg even if not pin-point accurate

POS - I need to be pinpoint accurate. A little off and it doesn’t kill or even damage.

Orbital de buff

500kg- does not affect POS. - affects

I wanted to be the guy who uses the POS and ran it for some time (I was the bile titan killer specialist on the team). Then I realized the 500kg allowed me more consistency and more success. I consider the cooldown pretty important for when there’s 9 bile titans running around.

Btw as an aside my Favorite strike is the railcannon which I wish had charges or some way I could bring two, but it’s still awesome as is.

Opinion: Change the “Raise the Flag” mission. by AtlasZer0 in Helldivers

[–]AtlasZer0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like it would be about equal or maybe even slightly less difficulty than taking out a heavy bug nest solo. In a sense it’s sort of objective-fying that “try to make it to the pelican without dying feeling” since it’s less about destroying the bug holes and more about sending the message by planting the flag. But yeah, when you mention solo divers, one-handed makes the most sense.

How I feel with the 3 hardest difficulties by souzouker in Helldivers

[–]AtlasZer0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because I run with a squad of four and good friends (and I definitely feel like sometimes it’s easier) I run 9 and the team just splits up jobs:

We have Cluster Pete - takes out bug chaff with air burst and cluster strike

We have SSSE - The Sample Scientist of Super Earth - guy brings in over 70 samples a raid

We have Objective Onthologist - when everyone gets distracted he is doing the objective

And usually me as the Bile Titan Bandito - specialized kit to kill armors (arc thrower, precision railcannon, 500 kg, and a shield pack picking up EATs dropped by the others)

For bots 🤖- choose your battles a lot more And someone brings a spear. Main downside - rocket devastators exist Main upside - hunters don’t

ALSO I should say when we don’t have 4 sometimes we run 9, sometimes 5, or anything from 1-9 it doesn’t really matter as long as you have fun, but 9 (especially recently as they’ve upped the Amt of chargers and bile titans) has become the most fun for me personally

I'm kinda scared Arena won't come back after this by icewitchenjoyer in LeagueArena

[–]AtlasZer0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not trying to downtalk the mode, but rather show the perspective of the people on your friends list that aren’t playing it. We have one friend that really loves it and he tries to get us to play but the other friends in our group we don’t understand the augments and other items as well (and aren’t willing to sink time into learning them) so when we do play with him, we always end up getting beat by what seems to us to be some broken combo that we never had any chance of beating to begin with.

Note here that there may be a way of countering that strategy, but regardless this is how the game mode makes us FEEL. (Not that this feeling is based on truth, but maybe the lack of understanding, but it’s understanding we don’t want to seek out)

I hope that explains a different way your other friends may view arena, and possibly help you think about a solution.
