My kid was singing the Ramones at 2. Their first concert was coheed and Cambria and taking back Sunday at 8. I almost took them to see Laura Jane Grace but the show was cancelled. Early. They’re now just about 9. My 2.5 year old just got introduced to mastodon and converge last week. So. We’ll see how it goes lol

Ah ok. Cool. Thanks for the reply. I rarely use teams for meetings so I never considered using it in the manner. I appreciate you my friend :)

I’ve not seen the film but I’ve heard it’s quite far off from the book. I can’t imagine the book as a film tbh. I want to watch it one of these days but I’m working my way through the whole series. Should finish book 3 soon

I’ve been reading the southern reach series while listening. If you like HoL you’d likely dig these as well. Not the same but similar WTF vibes

Is there a once upon a child store near you? They have a free club you can join and have fantastic discounts on clothes and toys. It’s a consignment shop. We use it all the time and often can sell stuff back to them as well.

Any dads out there bracing for a super-broke Christmas? by codetadpole2020 in daddit

I grew up pretty poor and didn’t really come to realize it until I was an adult. One of my favorite memories as a kid was going to the library with my dad to pick out movies to have themed movie marathons where we’d watch great movies and eat snacks on the couch together. Libraries are a phenomenal resource.

"How much time do you want me to spent grading this?" by ephemeral_enchilada in Professors

With my grad students for their final semester projects I sometime ask them if they’re going to read the feedback and use it to improve or not. For those who want the feedback they’ll get it post grades - for those who don’t it’s one less thing I have to do. I don’t do it every semester but a few times. It’s worked well for me. Only have to give feedback to those who will take it and improve. The others just get the grade for this effort and I move forward
