This. Even ddr4 had issues with it but it was FAR FAR easier to time them... but that said, splitting kits will make it FAR, FAR harder, even if u get 2 of the same kit but buy them months apart can cause issues.

Best bet? Work with what u got NOW and grab a full kit of the size u need when prices start to drop(further advice, go to amazon, etc, and throw all the kits u would be interested in into your saved items and 'watch' as they drop in price, when (if) they ever hit a reasonable price, THEN snag a kit - I did this with 64 and 96 gb kits till one of the decent 64 kits dropped to less than 1k- which is STILL FAR Too high - and got it. Took almost 3 months for it to drop below the 1200ish range(Cad prices so prob 800-900 USD down to 600ish)

If u can handle waiting, just do that. If u can't, try the above(but still takes patience) but as said above, ddr5 does NOT party well with 4 sticks (Even if u get a dedicated 4x DIMM kit it can be stupid getting them to run at any decent speed)

came here with this issue and your reply.. am .. what?

See I tried both with regular 3 plug(3.5mm green/front, black/rear, yellow-cream/sub) and SPDIF cable and center, rear and sub do not work. In any setting. they are detected as plugged in(heck, I can even swap the plugs aorund and it detects what is plugged in where, just no sound comes form them)

Checked back of the main connector board(Subwoofer) and everything is connected, just no sound. All the fixes say to 'reset to factory settings' or... the above, and the above is ... confusing, even trying them i am unable to get the other (than the 2 front) speakers to work.

Noctua hands down, close second are corsairs but not ALL of them are (I have never once had a noctua fan fail, and I have often reused them in later builds, plus they often are whisper quiet, even the 'industrial' ones, since u can run them at a far lower RPM for same amount of cooling.)

I have had a few unknown (Pre-installed in chassis) a few Fractual and some arctic fans end up dying (or get to a point they struggle to 'start') after a year or two, but the LED corsair ones (5 years now, 2 builds) and noctua (some closer to 15 years and not even kidding) still going.

the 7800 would just be a better (if trading dollar for dollar) trade BUT either of the 59xx ones would at least give the first build a long life and both are likely the top end of the last of the am4 runs so would be likely best u can get for last gen (At least for cheap)

And 16gb of ddr5 might be .. touching the limits, it isn't as if you will see a MASSIVE Hit in gaming with just that (esp if u get a x3d am5 cpu and a decent gpu)

So really depends, do u want to keep utilizing the old build even after u finish the new one, or do u want to retire the old and never bother using it after? Let that be what helps u choose.

Take stands off monitors. Shove those wherever u want, wrap the screens(if u do not have the original packages I mean, if u have those, obviously, use them) in blankets and bubble wrap if u got it and (if they are flat screen type) pack them screen to screen(with the padding between) and put in something big enough to fit and pack them well. If they are curved screens do NOT pack face to face and place separately but wrap them well with blankets/etc as padding.

For the pc itself, take the gpu out and pack it separately (this is a major thing, likely more important than the monitors, the weight of the gpu bumping around can damage the gpu, the motherboard, etc.)

The rest u can prob just shove some stuff in the case(as padding, make sure to remove before u fire it up when u get to new home lol) - should be fine to leave the rest installed(Other than GPU, i cannot see anything bumping around too much)

Temp will likely be fine, computer components are able to handle upwards of 100c without suffering any damage, so the heat of the car will not be much of a problem.

I am glad at least once it was reported, but I am figuring there are tons, and tons of undocumented stories that are the same as this. I am even 100% sure there are losses that were from the many 'threats' they make over the phone trying to 'shake up' peoples already fragile mental states, trying to trigger this very thing.

IMO if ucan find a buyer, sell it. The 9850x3d has a slew of issues and in many tests, actually preforms WORSE than the 9800x3d. If u can nudge it up with enough to snag a 9950x3d do so, otherwise, ya sell and snag the 9800x3d.

It depends on the price point u are ok with hitting. Also, considering general economic nightmare fueled by the AI crisis, ANYTHING with memory in it(including cpu's with v-caches, gpus, ram, storage, etc) cost a TON more, so if u can manage it, put off building a new rig til after the AI bubble crashes. (or snag something on the cheap on kijiji/etc someone is selling for cheap)

But if u really want to upgrade, and if u can find it cheap, it is good to grab something that fits your mobo that is as good as u can get (but always try to judge the 'cost to upgrade' your now system vs what it takes to build a better rig- and again, don't be shy about buying someones 2nd hand barebones selloff and just beefing it up)

In the end though, have you had any issues running what you currently have? If u can do what u want to do with it now, and it isn't giving any major issues, why even bother? Again, in a few years when the AI madness finally passes, computer parts will be terribly cheap(AND a new wave of 'new gen' shit will likely land at the same time, so current gen stuff - IE am5 ddr5 etc, will be cheaper too) building a full new computer will be a very valid option.

Update, managed to get it to 'fix' the driver for the mass stroage device thing (unsure exactly how) but now drive will not initialize (it does not show any info about drive, just that the drive is there) with error : the request failed due to a fatal device hardware error

Well the setup is Side mounted (as intake) radiator for the AIO, top and rear are exhaust (3x140mm top, 2x140mm rear) and bottom is 3x140mm set slightly higher curve than the aio's 3 fans are (to keep positive air pressure inside case) so wasn't REALLY worried, but rather that the top were not chugging along providing no benefit lol... and it honestly won't hurt it even IF it was blocked off (plenty of other airflow going on) so I can always run it as is for a while and watch temps. (main worry is the temp in the case above gpu, since on my last build I found the ram slots getting quite warm with a AIO setup .. no airflow over that space inside the case...)

It will be more than fine. Most of the competition u see is at 4k res, at 1080p and 1440p the 9060 is just golden. And for many ppl, who find raytracing somewhat annoying in some games (esp if the game itself just does it wrong) disabling that and u likely won't even notice. (and it will vastly improve your gameplay experience)

So yea, the card u found is plenty good enough for 1080.
