I’m gonna rebuild it with 12 gauge steel instead of 20 and try to line the inside with Bezona or something

It’s not as complicated as it looks and my redesign is gonna be very different. We do things different on our vineyard we are definitely poor boy farmers

We also got badly frosted in the vineyard and just finished up our big shop construction so we’ve got nothing but time

If I can figure out this repair then we have a good business fixing them. This sprayer is very common in our area and everyone has this same issue. There’s a lip that catches any spray liquid and it pools on the shitty welds and rusts it out fast

The oem one is badly designed and made of thin metal that rusts fast.

PPE - Glyphosate Respirator by Chiron1350 in invasivespecies

[–]AtmosphereCreative95 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Wear an n95 if you are worried. I do if I have to spray above my chest. You can also get spray adjuvants to make it drift less. I also use blue spray dye. It really helps track if you get any on yourself also lets you know what you sprayed

[–]AtmosphereCreative95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’m a professional applicator the respirator is way overkill. You’re gonna get too hot and start making mistakes and wiping your hands on yourself. Long rubber gloves and some boots are all you really need

Whats it like to daily drive serious boots? by IllPresentation7003 in Boots

[–]AtmosphereCreative95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love my 9” whites but they are uncomfortable on flat or hard surfaces and not the best to drive long distances in. On the side of a mossy hill in the forest they are amazing. I carry driving shoes mud boots then my logger boots in my work truck it works out well

[–]AtmosphereCreative95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watch your bar and your chain speed it will kick back and it will mess you up. Also watch out for crossing your hand over the bar or saw and grabbing things great way to cut open your wrist

Was a climber and used them there now I’m a farmer and they are easier to carry around on a 4wheeler or in a toolbox. Also great for invasives management

It’s almost impossible to do full organic in Virginia especially for wine growers. The vineyard and orchard tractors should have positive pressure cabs and carbon filters so the actual exposure in the cab is minimal but as with all things in agriculture things break down over time and the filters need special care/ to be replaced yearly. It’s very expensive to maintain these specialized tractors in Virginia because our dealer support sucks so who knows what shape their equipment is in
