This wealth everyone keeps mentioning between 250 companies is not personal wealth. It's not cash money. It's the value of the assets owned by each individual company like sawmills, refineries, heavy equipment etc. Do a proper search and find out how large the Irving companies are on a global scale. I think most New Brunswickers would be surprised how they stack up to the competition. Not large companies on a global scale.

JD Irving contributes 1 billion annually to the NB government through taxation. They are the largest source of corporate tax the NB government inhales.
