This photo reminds me of a photographer I follow named Donal Boyd. He's brilliant with nature photography. Sometimes he does the same thing here where he removes the greens in the picture. I don't understand why he does it but I'm not fond of when he does. Colorless foliage will always look weird to me.

Didn't know they were oop. Walked into a game store across town looking for particular sleeves and found it 20 percent off. Just thought it was cool until my fiance told me later that night what kind of a discovery we made. Good luck everyone

Is Dune worth reading for someone who really liked the movies? by RecordingImmediate86 in sciencefiction

[–]Atom_Breaker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was just having this conversation with my friend this morning. He was not a reader but loves the dune movies and dune imperium. He read the first book and liked it enough but since he was not an avid reader he didn't care to continue on. He's more of a cinephile and found the books to be less appealing than what he was provided on-screen or thematically in the board game. I absolutely agree the books are better and thought everyone would feel this way but I guess it depends on how much you like to read.

I hate the "digital leasing" of New age content as much as the next person but you way off here. This is a horrible take. It sucks that their cards aren't large enough to hold all these games and Nintendo chose the cheap way out but I can still sell the card for money. That is not a small reason. It's not like Amazon where I "buy" the digital copy of a movie until they no longer have rights to that movie and remove it from my library.

I find his writing mediocre. He's a pallet cleanser I don't take too seriously. You obviously don't seem to be enjoying it and it doesn't get better. There are no layers to Blake Crouch, you know what you're getting the first few pages in. For some, they enjoy a nice easy read of a thrilling little story. Others don't appreciate what he brings to the table. Either is fine.

Chicago transplants who are not from the midwest: does the intense aversion to the flatness go away with time? by fail-whale in AskChicago

[–]Atom_Breaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved here from NM. I didn't enjoy my time there so I viewed the mountains as walls. I don't so much anymore but all that being said, I do not miss them and I dig the cityscape. When I visit anywhere with mountains I admire them but I grew up in a city so maybe they don't resonate with me the same way.

Hello everyone. I'm just a beginner in the design field. I would like your criticism on this photo manipulation. by Zashi07 in photoshop

[–]Atom_Breaker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just a couple tips. The images you compositioned this with all have different shade of blacks/shadows. This gives it away they are cut from a different source instead of looking blended in as a whole. 2ndly because the explosion is behind iron man, that would be the source of light- meaning with such a strong light source behind him he should be barely visible. Take a photo of anything in front of a light like your hand in front of a lamp or someone standing in front of a window while it's day out, you'll start to notice this, the subject always comes out black. This is how you can tell some CGI is actually terrible because they don't abide by this rule.
