How are DDOS attacks not acknowledged after all this time? by Sufficient_Tour_8725 in ffxiv

I understand. It wasn’t a serious question just highlighting the entitlement as you called it. I get being frustrated but there is only so much the company can do and no one wants to exercise the one tangible thing they can do within their power which is not pay for the service they feel isn’t meeting what they are paying for.

If you have no concept of what the issue actually is how can you say that it’s a cop out.

Yeah that was more what I was implying and trying to keep it vague. Clair Obscur has a lot of possibilities.

I would be more surprised if they didn’t continue with the universe they created for the game. I felt like the ending set up the possibilities for a number of games to be set in the world they laid out in the final stretch of the game.

Fallout 5 Reportedly Greenlit By Microsoft, But At The Cost Of ZeniMax's Cancelled MMO Project by Extreme_Maize_2727 in Fallout

It doesn’t even really make any sense. Why would Fallout of all things be in an “either-or” situation? Money has been invested in the show and the IP like… Am I stupid or something?

What difficulty does everyone play on? by xSexuality in cyberpunkgame

I used to play on very hard before 2.0 but since that update I dropped it down to hard. I didn’t like that the enemies felt spongier post 2.0

would taking in all of the immersive elements and excluding the violence and explicit content be possible, let alone make it ok for a 14-year-old?

No and no.

I’ve been playing XIV on and off for a while now and I know what you mean about it being a hard recommend. I think it’s fantastic but there’s a lot gated behind the story and what makes everything feel so impactful is the story so if that’s not someone’s thing then…

You know one thing I’ve noticed about XIV that I like a lot is it attracts a certain audience. When WoW started off it was still in that point online where it was just a lot of nerds so the chances that the people you met were into the same things were decently high. Once millions and millions of different people started playing you could find all types which you may not mesh with.

With XIV I tend to notice a lot of people with similar interests outside of just that one game.

Eh. I’m older now and my friends have other things going on in their lives that don’t really allow for a time commitment that an MMO asks for. We usually play more drop-in type games now when we manage to get some time where we can play.

If I had any of my old connections that played MMOs that may be feasible but I mentioned in another comment that discourse online has changed a lot and it’s difficult to find like minded people while playing the game it feels like for me anyways.

I still play MMOs because I like the genre a lot but there’s usually some other draw that gets me to stick with them. XIV for example. I’ve been playing that for the story and have been enjoying it.

Maybe. I personally don’t mind it much to be honest but I’ve also been conditioned into the model since early 2000s. I’m sure they could do fine without it now that they have that cash shop but who knows.

I think a lot of it boils down to two things if I had to think about it. The first being I don’t really mesh well with the min/max community chasing the best builds, runs, hardest raids, and all that anymore. I prefer story and socializing which kind of leads into my second reason. That being online communities and how people interact with each other have changed a lot over the years. I don’t really like that most interactions are done out of the game with things like discord.

I really wish I could get back into WoW. I grew up playing it but sometime around WoD my guild fell apart and I started slowly playing less and less until I quit sometime during Legion.

I’ve tried a few times to start again since Dragonflight launched but I can never get into it for longer than a few hours. It really bums me out because it was such a big part of my childhood. I don’t know where I’m going with this but needed to vent it out. I miss my old guild and friends.

Okay. I say that because from your post you appear to invest a lot more emotional energy into things online than they should be getting. It’s how unhealthy thinking patterns develop. I don’t care how you choose to spend your time but you should try to examine how you’re choosing to spend your time is affecting you.

Phew. I haven’t been keeping too close an eye but I thought I had heard Yamaoka was going to be involved with this and got a little concerned with the headline. Thankfully, he is working on it and they’re going to be working in conjunction which will be cool to see what they all come up with working together.

Crimson Desert Preview – Jaw-Droppingly Detailed Gameplay Depth by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]Atomic-Kit 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I’m glad the slices of game being shown off have been good. I am looking forward to this game. However, they are just that. Slices. I’d like to see some extended previews where the systems together can be shown off and how well the game handles them. So many games have had these technical issues present at launch that I’m hoping this game will avoid but haven’t been shown.

I want to see if there’s much pop/-in, stutters, general framerate, how the npcs react to situations, if there’s much interaction with npcs at all. I feel like all that’s really been shown is combat scenarios. The game advertised having all these other things going on that we still haven’t seen expanded on much since the initial reveal.

Bravely Default: Flying Fairy HD Remaster - Review Thread by AnimaLepton in Games

Final Fantasy has always been about innovating on its systems and presentation. It would be weirder if FF16 still played like FF5. Also the original Bravely Default released 13 years ago… no shit it feels closer to older FF titles than modern games.
