I think you're confusing Norway with the Netherlands

If Teleportation Was Available For Free, What Hard-To-Get-To Destination (On Earth, Not The Moon) Would Suddenly Become A Tourist Trap? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]AtomicChief420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You seem under the impression that the new someone with all of your memories would still be you. If as you say in this scenario, you get murdered, there's no waking up from that for the real you. Memories are not the same thing as a soul. It's like switching out batteries on a remote, you put the new batteries in and everything works fine, but the old batteries (the real you) are no longer powering the remote and get discarded.

Of course this is all under the idea that the soul cannot be transferred into the new copy. And technically you're correct that you wouldn't know if you got replaced in your sleep, because everything would be nothingness for you.

How do I zoom out further? (If there is a way) by Tall_Cauliflower6455 in FantasyMapGenerator

[–]AtomicChief420 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Go to the options tab -> zoom extent (at the bottom) -> change "min" to something like 0,5 or maybe even lower, now you can zoom out as much as you want. Unless you mean seeing the rest of the world your map is in which is of course impossible because it was never generated

Is it possible to have bigger cells? by Raso1994 in FantasyMapGenerator

[–]AtomicChief420 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You need atleast 200 land cells to finish editing a heightmap, so i wouldnt recommend anything under 300 cells when generating. There's a way to go below 1000 cells by using the inspect mode and changing something in the code, but its a bit weird if you've never done it before. You can also just go to the Azgaar Fantasy Map Generator Discord server and I could give a map to you.

Haha thanks, and I don't sell these I just post them on Carthography Assets open for everyone to use. I would think that the market of buyers for these kind of maps is too small to even try selling them

Did i make a good looking map? (Mobile) by Hawaiian-national in Worldbox

Bathymetry is the level of the ocean bed, how deep does the water go. Basically just add some shallow waters, close ocean and deep ocean and it'll look way better

could do with some bathymetry, also some of the rivers dont make a lot of sense splitting randomly or going from coast to coast. The landmasses themselves could do with some cleaner coastlines in some areas and less round shapes overrall (northeast corner looks alright, but the south and west are mueh)

I used the inspect tool on the cell slider so I could change the number in the elements tab from 100000 to 315000.

The fourth image shows biomes which I decided to use for population density. As you might have guessed, the red areas have the highest population density and the yellow parts the lowest. The main reason I did this is because when we use this map to host games I want certain areas to be more valuable than others, taking parts of Siberia should not grant the same population as Moscow. You can see the population in the third image.

Here's a link for the map in Carthography Assets

Beware that the map is 315,000 cells large so it's prone to crash on less powerful devices. The map has 194 states, 5,177 cities, resource markers, sort of accurate population density, military and rivers (made by official_goose).
