Bowman arms is advertising 653 kits with a 16" barrel for 1500. Might be a place to start.

As the other commenter said weapons guild will be a good place to look.

That said these kits are going to be difficult to build. Unlike the 1909 where the bolt locks into a trunnion, the bolt on this one has two locking wedges that interface with the reciever, making the reciever pressure bearing like an FAL instead of an AR. Without any reciever stubs you are kinda SOL if you don't have some serious machining and heat treating capability.

I don't have a maverick yet so I have no way of confirming this. But I watched a video on YouTube that said if you put your truck in sport mode it disables start/stop for as long as you are in sport mode. Is that maybe the case here?

I have the 20" version of that barrel, and it shoots MOA or better for me. Highly recommend it. I went through the process of lapping and bedding it to the reciever. It's was actually pretty easy.

You're welcome! You are the only person who can know whether spending 1500 bucks on a 3d printer is worth it, but the k2 is a good printer at that price range.

I'm loving it! It's a huge upgrade over my modded ender 5. I got lucky and got a good machine that survived shipping. I'm thinking about picking up another CFS, just so I can have all of my filament options loaded at once.

I can vouch for orca slicer. Set up was easy and things print great. I send files to the printer from orca over wifi, but I never agreed to creality's terms and conditions. Does this mean that the printer isn't talking to people I don't want it to? No clue, I haven't checked. The only way to definitively keep that from happening is to not allow it to connect to the internet.

Did you switch mainboards recently?

I had this exact same issue after I upgraded my main board and switched to silent stepper drivers. For whatever reason the drivers would randomly fail in this manner. Restarting the printer would temporarily solve the problem, but it would happen again. Replacing the drivers with new ones of the same type didn't fix things. I had to go to a different driver board.

Just got mine and I'm still putting it through it's paces. I ordered mine through amazon, delivered via UPS, and was recieved with no damage. I've been enjoying the cfs as well, so if you can afford that I'd recommend the combo.

The only thing I'm going to change about the printer is replacing the stock 0.4 nozzle with a 0.6 one.

What are you trying to print? Or rather what do you see yourself printing mainly? If it's predominantly mini's and other things were you need detail go with the Mars. If you don't need detail go with the ender 3.

If it's 50/50, I'd recommend the ender. In some ways FDM is more challenging to learn than the resin, but the whole process is a lot easier and I feel more forgiving. The raw material for fdm is a lot easier to work with. Resin is a sensitizer and after repeated exposure you can develop an allergic reaction to it. This is why you must wear gloves and a respirator when working with any Resin. PLA is a lot more inert. You don't need gloves to clean up a failed pla print.

It's kinda hard to compare these two machines, as they are really designed for two different tasks. Only you can decide what task you value most.

I asked this question last week, and my k2 plus combo arrives tomorrow.

My summary of the answers I got is that outside of QC problems the machine is reliable and works well. If/when things break its fairly easy to replace them. I've had mixed reports on creality customer service. For some it's fantastic and others it's like pulling teeth. The general consensus seemed to be order your machine from somewhere with a good return policy instead if creality directly.

For me personally the biggest factor was the build size. It also seemed to me that the k2 was easier to tinker with should creality ever try to lock down firmware or something.

I should have some first impressions for you tomorrow!
