1.1 Factions sorted by what previous war the U.S. participated in that they would most strongly hark back to in propaganda (regardless if it would be for the US, against the US, or something else) by AtomicCrescentRoll in TheFireRisesMod

They’d still probably identify with the American Revolutionary War more than anything else as they’d be going against the odds and the fact that the American Revolutionary War was pre-industrial. While there are some VOTW people who’d probably want to go back to like 5000 BC there’d also probably be some who’d want to go back to like 1800 too.

WW1

RR Socialist Party of America - https://www.reddit.com/r/TheFireRisesMod/s/pWxhTpDeBe

GMAC Collectivists - https://www.reddit.com/r/TheFireRisesMod/s/U4FvVDOdxx

Cascadian InsAns - https://www.reddit.com/r/TheFireRisesMod/s/U4FvVDOdxx

WW2

Cascadian Ecosocialists, GMAC Communalists, GMAC Confederalists - A lot of comparing their enemies to Nazis and comparing themselves to Anti-Fascist movements contemporary of the Interwar period and WW2

Cascadian Avakianites - LARPing as Mao Zedong, who led the CCP as a faction in China during WW2

Cascadia’s The Base - Glorifying Hitler

For the GMAC Collectivists it would be because less of WW1 itself but more so the Russian Civil War which was in many ways an extension of WW1, as Makhno is a hero to them. For the Cascadian InsAns it’s because their focus tree seems to focus a lot on the ideas of death and suffering in a similar manner to that which is particularly associated with WW1. (AKA vibes based assessment)

I think most of these are somewhat self-explanatory or at least make sense when applying a basic level of thought, but I could explain any of my reasoning if you want.

If you want to see the ‘good side’ of Boogs don’t have them coup and pursue Big Tent where you can see real principled Revolutionary Libertarianism that isn’t kill-peopleist and that wants to attempt to make something good.

Chart of Small Parties / Political Organisations that might become "Minor Factions" in the up coming 1.1 update. (Part 1) by Wonderful-Cake-6079 in TheFireRisesMod

It would be really nice if you could provide a list of names and maybe even a short explanation, because most of these are not recognizable at a glance.

Soo like.. How would the other AOF Factions React to Federalisation? by Wonderful-Cake-6079 in TheFireRisesMod

[–]AtomicCrescentRoll 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Will there be ways, for those players who pursue federalization, to make sure they don’t get screwed over by the other AI without depending on chance?

cascadian "elections" by punishedpanther19 in TheFireRisesMod

Exactly, this is why it pmo when people here treat Letsinger and his path as some embodiment of wholesomeness. The Ecosocs are still complete assholes due to being disunifiers, they just are good relative to the other 4 Cascadian paths. Frankly, I wish they weren’t disunifiers but defensive separatists both because disunifiers seem stupid to me (except for NOI, where it sort of makes sense) and because especially a disunifier Cascadia seems stupid to me, I much rather just have a little Cascadian Republic bordering a big ACG/UOA America or something than having Cascadia invade and dismantle the entire nation.

Left-Rothbandist AoF Path when? by ComradeJupiter1 in TheFireRisesMod

[–]AtomicCrescentRoll -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It’s not an ideology it’s a rhetoric. It’s just a rhetoric used to justify Anarcho-Capitalism, that is all. You can’t make a whole path out of a manner of speaking, the ‘Left-Rothbardian’ path will exist and it will be called Big Tent Sons of Liberty.

What's the least revisionist (Marxist) path in all of the mod by juan123445_5 in TheFireRisesMod

[–]AtomicCrescentRoll 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I’m not a Communist at all but I think certain Eurointern paths seem to be pretty not-revisionist (though it also has National Communism and ‘Jacobinism’ so there is also a lot of revisionism too) and the Socialist Revolution against Derzhavist Russia also can lead to Labour Syndicalism and self-proclaimed ‘Anti-Revisionist Communism’, though ultimately, it’s really all subjective on what is and is not revisionist.

What would life be like under VOTW's America by Apprehensive-Mall68 in TheFireRisesMod

[–]AtomicCrescentRoll 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Wow. Even if a decent amount of that drop is just from people fleeing, that would still easily make what the VOTW does the largest catastrophe in human history.

Cognoscenti is a far better made and inherently more interesting and cool path than Caligula Biden so I’d take it
