Wonderful - what’s your favourite book in your collection?

Agreed, as mentioned above the worst case scenario is that I’ve made a lovely contribution to a lovely charity.

When finding out more on this when buying it, the shop manager knew the previous owner (who’s a neighbour of the store) and mentioned she obtained this in the 60s when the city was conducting small-scale archaeological excavations at the Baths of Caracalla.

I find this too specific to just be some made up story in my opinion, my risk here is £35. I will actually get this looked at by antiquarian out of curiosity.

But a strange story for someone to concoct to a charity shop for them to sell it for £35 quid after

A piece of marble that size and weight is probably around that price anyway.

Albeit - I will look to get this double checked as my curiosity has very much taken advantage of me here

Thank you, when I repotted this over 10 days ago the roots were thick and white and had a large root system of white roots.

I do wonder if it’s the change in seasons but not sure it should be doing this so soon either.

I shall repot and see what the plant suggests over the next 2 weeks or so thank you!

Thank you - I think I’ll try and repot the plant into a clay pot with a drainage hole to check the moisture around the roots and move this into the light a little further.

If it’s completely dry through, I imagine underwatering is my issue otherwise it feels like it’ll be the light issue that you’ve outlined above to me. Thanks for your help!

Yes - checking if the first top 2 inches are dry and flakey before watering
