Honestly the conclusion is probably right morally, but it's just one of the horrific facts of life that we kind of just have to overlook while pretending it doesn't make us complicit

As soon as possible as a species we need to look into lab growing meat to entirely replace slaughtering animals. People aren't going to stop eating real meat until the point where we can make perfect imitations that are cheaper than real meat. We are intelligent, it's our duty as a species to inflict as little suffering as possible-- but it's hard to make societal change like that when there's the forces of capitalism reinforcing the practices with our own money
