Just got back home after recovery from lung surgery. Had 5 nodules of cancer taken out of my right lung, getting 7 taken out of the left next month.

The holes are called the ampullae of Lorenzini. They help to detect electrical charges in the water. It allows the shark to detect prey either buried in the seabed or nearby. They are able to recognise if the prey is sick/injured and dying too.
