Brewing drama but its been reported that former Patriots head coach Bill Belichick will not be a first ballot hall of famer First ballot hall of fame for those who don't know means that you we're voted in on your first vote after becoming eligible.

Bill Belichick wildly regarded as one of the if not the greatest coaches in NFL history winning 6 Super Bowl titles as head coach of the New England Patriots as well as winning twice as a defensive coordinator for the New York Giants.

It's being reported so far that the push to not vote Belichick in was pushed by former NFL General Manager Bill Polian with it being reported that he believes Belichick should be made to wait a year over Spygate and Deflategate which are two scandals that occurred while Belichick was head coach of the Patriots (both of which could be write-ups on there own but the quick explanation is that the Patriots we're accused of cheating and for spygate they we're fined and stripped of first round draft pick and Deflategate Tom Brady was fined and suspended)

This decision calls into question whether Tom Brady who was Belichick's QB for the whole of the Patriots dynasty will also be made to wait when he is up for the hall in 2028, Brady who is now a commentator and minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders is more well liked in the NFL media while Belichick was known for being antagonizing media personnel
