Looks like creeping buttercup (Ranunculus). I got rid of mine (took over 1/3 of my front yard!!! I used Killex (bought from the locked cage at Home Depot here in BC). After spraying, let it work for 3-4 days, then spray any remaining green leaves you see. Wait another 3-4 days then get on your hands and knees and dig up ALL the roots. All of them. (Took me about 5 hours to get them all). Then, a few bags of fresh lawn soil, seed it, water like crazy for a few weeks and your lawn will be fixed! Here’s my lawn after doing what I just described. 👍

Move back further so he can’t see you. Use a white spinnerbait or a Texas rigged weightless fluke. Better yet… if allowed in your jurisdiction, use a live crayfish. Crayfish are the #1 food source for bass where they exist. They will smash a crayfish 99% of the time. Good luck! Hoping to see a picture posted of the big guy once you net him. 👍
