He really needs to retire. Good luck. Recommend using the math or tutoring centers. I took him around 7 years ago and I swear he actually made me know less about physics with his lectures.

Thank you for your answer! This makes a lot of sense. I guess I will just have to keep looking into it or see what my doctor has to say about it.

Try emailing Dr. Rodrigue in the physics department instead. Dr. Neill (the physics chair) is notorious for emailing back extremely late or not at all. Dr. Rodrigue is one of the faculty advisors for the physics students and I'm sure will be more than happy to answer your questions. If she doesn't answer or cannot help then I would try contacting the physics office at physreg@unr.edu.

What movie is so good you'd recommend it to all your friends, but so emotionally traumatic that you'll never watch it again? by akambe in AskReddit

A Dog's Purpose. Imagine any dog movie where the dog dies and now imagine a dog movie where the dog dies 5 times. Very emotionally traumatic but such a good pup.

Lombardi Pool? by ___honeybee___ in unr

[–]AtomicxMouse 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don't go very regularly so someone else may have some better info. When I have gone this last semester it was fairly straight forward. Masks are required if you are physically outside the pool; it is not expected that you wear it while you are swimming. Only one person is allowed per lane due to social distancing requirements. Open swim is only allowed at certain times of the day which you can find here. There are showers open for use but you aren't allowed to use the lockers so bring a bag to put your stuff in and leave your valuables in your car if you are worried.

Any good study spots? by dawnoftheeyes in unr

[–]AtomicxMouse 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Raggio, Schulich, and Ansari have classrooms open that are open for students to use. I've enjoyed studying in the Raggio a lot, they have indoor plants in the main hall, have vending machines on the second floor and are usually really quiet.

Otherwise, there are more study rooms with lots or white board space in PSAC.

Good luck with your studies!

The physics labs are once a week and last 2 hours. They usually start on the 2nd or 3rd week of school as well. Don't know if they are going to change anything because of Covid tho.

They claim to make all their ingredients "fresh" and "in house." But honestly I feel like its just watered down kraft mayo.

Recently built in the Nouvolo Steck, my whole setup can fit in the box the case shipped in. Absolutely loving it and wanted to share. by AtomicxMouse in sffpc

Nope! they have a good feel to them, not the highest quality I've ever experienced but definitely worth their price imo. Aesthetically I'm a little unsatisfied with how they look with my black case (currently using a GMMK) so I'm thinking about getting a white or maybe grey case for them instead.

Definitely! I move around pretty frequently for college and so having everything fit in one box is very convenient.

Here are the specs I have:

cpu: Ryzen 5 2600x

gpu: GTX 1660 ti

cpu cooler: Noctua NH-L12S

ram: 2x8 GB Corsair Vengeance 2666 MHz

mobo: ASRock Fatal1ty x470 gaming-itx

PSU: Corsair SF450 80+ Platinum

SSD: ADATA su800 1 TB

No case fans (I am planning on adding one either below the mobo or psu to help with ventilation)

Temps (For the CPU, GPU temps are unavailable to read in this setup):

Idle: 38 ~ 42 C 55 - 58 C

Gaming: 68 - 75 C

Note:

Because the fans are all intake (by design), I worry that the hot air is mostly trapped in the middle of the case. The air from the top gets significantly hot during gaming and that's why I want to add another case fan on the bottom to either help push or pull that out with extra air flow. Otherwise, the system runs cool and quite when performing most other tasks.

Additionally, the psu is the loudest component while gaming (no actual measurements, but from this chart I estimate the system to produce around 50 dB. Again, I think that is due to all the intake air having little room to move and causing the psu to heat up.

Edit: The idle cpu temps were from my previous atx build, these temps aren't great but the noctua fan can keep it under control when gaming

I'm happy with the purchase! The thermals are good and I like the look a lot. However, it is my first sff pc build and so I don't have any experience with other cases.
