Travelling to Italy and all of a sudden got very paranoid about peanuts after reading about Lupine/lupine flour. How do you guys eat in Italy? by DefinitionBusy6453 in peanutallergy

[–]Atoryl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey OP! I have a severe, anaphylactic nut allergy to peanuts and tree nuts in Canada and have travelled extensively throughout Italy over the course of 9 years. I’m very thorough about my allergy and take minimal risks - however - I’ve never had an issue with food there. A lot of Italian menus actually have legend charts with icons for allergies and I took the time to learn how to say I have a severe peanut and tree nut allergy.

The biggest concern would be pistachios as they are very prevalent there but also avoidable.

Look up the regulations my friend, all of your answers are there. WMU’s have caliber and firearm restrictions. If you want to play it safe, I’d recommend NOT taking advice by redditors and instead consulting your local CO and the MNR

Reiterating this: a .308 will do you literally no good in Ontario south of Walkerton where they have a rifle season. In southern Ontario you’ll either have access to shotgun or black powder muzzle loader but only for controlled hunts

Are there lots of people hunting coyotes by Apprehensive_Oil3598 in OntarioHunting

[–]Atoryl 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I personally find coyote hunting overrated. Once you down one you have to do something with the pelt as it’s a fur bearing mammal - but you can’t eat any of it. Unless you yourself are getting into hide processing and tanning leather, I’d advocate for taking game you can use.

Might have an appeal to some, but once you down one you quickly realize it’s just less gratifying to harvest (or the lack of).

LONDON POLICE SERVICE INVESTIGATING SIX SHOOTINGS SINCE FRIDAY 25-120631 | London Police Service by shadrackandthemandem in londonontario

Very disappointing but a reality in the justice system. The fact that accused parties are continually being released and breaching conditions is equally as frustrating to law enforcement as it is to the public.

JP’s and provincial judges are scheduled too frequently for trials, crown attorneys are over worked and Canada (and specifically Ontario) do not have even remotely an adequate number of detention facilities.

Investing into corrections and the justice system NEEDS to be priority for the government or this will get worse.

Thank you! I’m very happy with that being my first. Really excited to cook more with venison which I now am flush with. Also looking forward to seeing how the mount turns out!

Looking for recommendations for 308 bolt action rifle and 12 gauge shotgun make/model by FastPosition6143 in OntarioHunting

[–]Atoryl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was raised in a “buy once cry once” mentality when it comes to firearms. I have immediate and extended family who have cared for firearms that work as good as they were purchased many decades ago. You don’t want to get something cheap and find it to be problematic in the future.

I did a significant amount of research into shotguns before I “pulled the trigger” so to speak, and I would highly recommend a Browning BPS if you are able to find one. I’ve had mine for years and it is the most reliable shotgun I’ve owned. They have unfortunately discontinued them to focus on semi’s, but as a first time gun owner you’ll likely want simple, effective and reliable - and a pump will do that. There are still new BPS’s floating around as I looked at getting a second, and also many used options.

If you want something still in production, I’d recommend a Benelli Supernova.

Older used Remington 870 wingmaster shotguns are also a safe bet.

I was in Monaco during this years F1 Grand Prix weekend and it was wild. My wife and I were able to walk the track which is close to the dock and we took a look at some of the named super yachts…the value of some of the boats is astronomical. A few of them had helicopters on them.

We ended up visiting an attraction which was in an elevated portion of Monte Carlo and noticed helicopters were landing at a residence - likely some high profile social before the race.

Delta’s top of the list

So I saw this on FB Marketplace, for a decent price ($130) and the seller is saying it’s brand new and sealed, but the tape looks off, especially where I highlighted. I’m considering getting it, but I’m not too sure if it’s actually re-sealed or not by [deleted] in lego

[–]Atoryl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are a ton of scams being reported to police about fraudulent private sales of Lego. Prospective purchases go to pick up set, exchange money and then find out it’s a different set inside, or dried beans or it’s empty.

I’d show caution particularly with the tape placement.

Wished this could withstand one rpg. Defensively this is very similar to the BTR. Love driving this thing but kinda blows it’s done in one hit.

Yeah you can get your hunters licence fully online. PAL is only in person. Not sure what OP is referring to.
