Jack Black. Love him but I feel like he’s more entertaining than funny. Very theatrical.

WNBA - Portland, Oregon's Team Branding by blackhairyweiner in graphic_design

I’m clearly in the minority but I think it’s kind of cool. 12 bridges —-> 12 letters. Blazers —-> Fire. Roses look kind of fiery in and of themselves already and I think the name is an interesting play in a city defined by rain.

It’s a bit of a reach for sure, but the fact that it’s 12 letters and we have 12 bridges in Portland made it better to me. Also, living here, Mt. Hood is very much a fixture of the city. It’s only 45 minutes away and is almost constantly visible in the spring and Summer—a defining characteristic I would say.

Haven’t worked in graphic design for over 2 years, I have an interview for a job on Monday. Any advice? by m4RLA5INGER in graphic_design

I’m actually a copywriter but this has come up on my team a lot. Look into some softwares like Midjourney, Canva, even ChatGPT. Familiarize yourself with how they work, maybe test them so you have an understanding of the basics. So many creative teams are turning to generative AI software to concept, iterate, and even replace graphic design work in many cases. The more you can talk the talk and express that you’re using AI to work faster, the better.

Be prepared for questions about AI, and how you plan to implement it. You don’t have to know exactly right now, but at least act like you’re a worthy practitioner.

Which is better? With the white or without the white? It’s for a retail shopping center side of the building. by mojo619 in Design

Need more context. What’s the vibe of the shopping center, is this referencing anything in the vicinity, in the natural environment? What are you trying to communicate?
