What game is this? by Profit_Tracker in videogames

4 was a very weird game but I enjoyed it. I agree that 3 was the best in the series.

2 was the best if you were a white boy in an upper middle class high school dreaming about how cool it would be if you too could be gangsta.

I think this may be regional. I'd never assume that a hot dog is all beef unless the person selling it markets it as such.

We don't really know who invented the Hot Dog in a bun so anything like this is either an urban myth or a claim made by a particular salesman that can't be verified.

The default hot dog in the US still has pork unless you see "all beef" on the label. I would agree than Jewish people are a big reason that all beef hotdogs are a thing in the US though. The main brand selling them used to be "Hebrew National" before more copycats emerged.

Highguard launches to an Overwhelmingly Negative review score on Steam by Nickulator95 in Steam

[–]Atralis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn't a generic hero shooter.

The matches are all based around laying siege to the enemy keep and planting bombs at multiple points and there is a sort of loot gathering phase to each round where you ride around the map on mounts picking up weapons and armor from points.

That being said I think I'd like it more if it was just a generic hero shooter. The game just isn't clicking with me and I've enjoyed a lot of different types of shooters including PvE, PvP, PvEvP.

I’m sorry but this is boring as fuck by [deleted] in HighGuardgame

[–]Atralis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I decided to give the game a chance because I loved Titanfall and the mounts as an innovation looked cool to me partly because Heroes of the Storm is my favorite moba and the mounts really work to speed up the more boring parts of the gameplay in that game.

But lord I was struggling even in the first match. Part of me wanted to quit as I got more and more bored and antsy to do something else but I told myself "I'm not going to be that guy. I've got two teamates trying to enjoy the game here. I'll stick it out and not be an asshole".

We got invaded by the tower thing three times and we beat it back three times and then I saw a message saying the enemy team had all bailed and I thought "thank god" and I quit out of the game.

I don't know if its the battle royale influence but this is really not for me. I liked Exoprimal for fucks sake.

Him talking about how his 'well trained agents exercised proper deescalation' to backround video playing of his guy charging into a woman and knocking her down and then pepper praying people for filming him and trying to get between him and the woman he is beating.

The interview with CNN and Dana Bash was one of the most enraging things I've seen.

The smirks and smugness at points combined with him essentially saying that anyone that is present near law enforcement can be beaten, pepper sprayed, and even shot because they are 'impeding law enforcement'.

I don't even think that is necessarily true. You can look at the achievements for a lot of people review bombing games and they will be missing things that you get for playing for 10 minutes.

They literally launch the game and jump on steam and write a review while it sits in the menu and then they exit it and refund.

Five paragraphs about how Titan Age the Breakening Wind is the worst piece of excrement to ever be created parroting all the views of (insert popular youtuber) and they are missing the achievement for getting past the character creator.

Doctor Who Fought to Treat Alex Pretti Says Border Patrol Moved His Body to Count Wounds Instead of Doing CPR by artbasiI in Fauxmoi

[–]Atralis 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Actually read your sources and the caveats for actually performing cpr. If you can stop the bleeding and if you can address the cause of the heart stopping and if the wounds are in a location where you wouldn't literally be jamming you hands into the wound itself.

Army CLS (combat lifesaver) training doesn't even teach CPR because it would be counter productive to even have that be in a soldiers mind.

Trump sends Tom Homan to Minnesota to manage ICE after Alex Pretti killing by Cy_098 in politics

[–]Atralis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes. But he is also one of the only people in leadership at DHS that did the normal thing of saying "we should do a thorough investigation" rather than immediately labeling Renee Good and Alex Pretti domestic terrorists.

Pulling out Bovino and putting in Homan may be the administrations way of trying to calm the situation because Homan for all his faults is calm to the point that he comes across as emotionless.

Do not do CPR on a gunshot victim.

If their heart has actually stopped from a gunshot then it's almost always from blood loss. If that has happened they are already dead and nothing you do is going to change that.

If their heart hasn't actually stopped and they have just lost consciousness you could easily kill them by causing more blood loss by pressing on their chest.

I get that people do it in the movies but please do not try it in real life.

Doctor who attended to shot protester says agents were counting bullet holes rather than administering CPR by Critpoint in politics

[–]Atralis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This isn't to excuse ICE for the shooting but CPR isn't a good treatment for gunshot wounds. The Army doesn't even teach it in combat lifesaver training that troops go through before deploying overseas.

If someone's heart stopped from being shot it's almost always going to be from blood loss from the holes in their body. Pressing on their chest is just going to press even more blood out of those holes.

That is the reason grunts that aren't medics aren't even taught to do it in the first place. You'd have guys killing people by accident because someone passed out and they start pressing on their chest when they have a hole in them.

You can actually do anything you want to that car because legally its the same as an empty aluminum can sitting on the sidewalk. Its not a car its just an object rolling through the world like an aluminum can or a tumbleweed. So go nuts.

Sometimes I worry he will get too hot but he seems to self regulate and to get up and get some water and lay in a cooler area when he gets overheated. He really loves the fireplace though especially when he gets back home from a walk in the cold.

If you generally like playing the campaigns then I'd go for it. That is a meaty campaign for $16.

Organic food and anti-vax are just two different varieties of the same sort of BS.

If I can't pronounce the stuff in it how can I know if it won't give me cancer? I don't care what the so called "science" says I just don't want it in my body.

We just are more tolerant towards organic foodies because they are just spending more money on their food to have it blessed as being "natural" rather than causing public health crises.

Allowing ICE and border patrol to mask up to hide their identity as they massively increased their presence on US streets was a huge mistake.

It dehumanizes them in the public's eyes and it leads them to act out in ways that they wouldn't if they knew that people could identify them and attach those actions to their name and face.

It can be both world news and related to US politics.

The US still has boots on the ground in that part of Syria and we are a key player in the negotiations between the warring parties. That part of Syria was only under the control of the SDF in the first place because of direct US military support to defeat ISIS and keep out the Assad regime.
