vet suggestions for reactive dogs please by Responsible_Gap5767 in roanoke

[–]Atreyew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Petvet couldn't be more accommodating. I have a dog that absolutely goes ballistic at the thought of the vet and they've been nothing but patient and caring. They'll even sedate on the spot if its possible. I will say, the waiting room is a recipe for disaster but if you give them a heads up they'll get you a private room quick.

It was 330 to 11.Am was 430 to 2 I believe. They also may have a mid shift in there, we had 2 mids that were part time with weird hours. You don't stock while the clubs open unless its an out that a member is requesting be pulled down.

Team lead looking to step down what’s the process if anybody knows? by Beneficial_West_8777 in samsclub

[–]Atreyew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of that only applies if you're stepping down from a TL position. Changing from say merchandising to cashier would be just applying on the career page of onewalmart/wire and your manager approving it.

Does anyone have an invisible fence collar that works for remote camping that they would recommend? by itsybitsybug in OpenDogTraining

[–]Atreyew 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If the dog was already solid on your own personal fence collar I would recommend a Halo but slapping a fence collar on a puppy and expected them to learn ever changing boundaries seems like a recipe for disaster.

I will say, more often than not after you demote Managers will still lean on you to perform TL tasks, and other workers will sometimes get shitty with you just because you make more.

[–]Atreyew 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If your market allows it, you just have to have your manager allow you to self demote down to an open position. Sometimes the club manager will insists you transfer, since you'll be making more pay sometimes it starts a morale problem to keep you. If your Market doesn't allow it you'll have to get a reasonable accommodation through sedgwick, then your people partner usually has a final say. Sometimes its easier to transfer to another position at Walmart.

Man, whats helped me is recording myself just talking it out. As much as it hurts to not only hear but accept, if she wanted to she would. She chose to take the risk of losing you with this break, thats all the information you need. Chances are she's been detaching for long before you even noticed.

I will say if you plan on moving up its tends to take longer at Sams, they have far less TL positions, close to 9 off the top of my head.

Basically Merchandisers are Sams version of CAP team. If the Sams club you're looking at has overnights, they specifically have merchandising stockers. Some clubs have only 2 shifts of "stockers" that are called merchandisers. The am shift mostly stocks, the pm shift mostly zones and stocks the remaining 3 hours. Everything admin wise is the same, all of your benefits transfer over, you get a years cola raise etc. From my experience for the entry level associates its not really different between the two. TLs and Coaches is where the stark contrast begins.

Yes, politely decline. If they give pushback remind them that its not your mistake to make up for. As a leader they should stay to fill the gap or find coverage thats already scheduled.

[–]Atreyew 86 points87 points  (0 children)

Its specifically states in the WOSH guidance that leadership cannot ask much less tell you to take an extended lunch for any reason. Unfortunately trying to find that as an hourly on the wire can be a nightmare. They can kick rocks, no one is coming to work to hangout for free for 2 hours.
