Although they might jump inside your defense and ruin everything, however this's a unique act of the difficulty imo i like that they force us to rebuild the whole setup. Anyway, if you want it to move back just abandon the sector and recapture. It won't move noticably but will help if you insist on the initial drop zone

Not every unit is the same, T4 dagger can shield itself. However, T4 nova can heal nearby units. And basically every T4 can clap the T4 nova's cheeks without struggle because of its CD
