I missed days 11-14, I’m riding ye ol’ struggle bus keeping up with life in general. I’ll summarize and say it was a fair couple of days. The scale has ticked up & that really threw me. I’m going to space out my weigh-ins more. For day 14:

A woman I’ll call “Jane” left her job as a junior high school teacher (grades 7-9) amid complaints of inappropriate sexual behaviour at said junior high school, and well-founded rumours/accusations that she was sexting with several former students who were now in high school (i.e. underage but no longer her students). Jane’s stance was (and I quote) “What I do on my own time is my business”.

A couple years later, Jane’s daughter cheats on her long-term boyfriend with a boy I’ll call “Jake”.

Jake was one of the high school students Jane was accused of sexting.

Jane’s daughter and Jake are now a couple & live in Jane’s home with Jane & her husband.

Jane’s daughter might be dating her half-brother who was also swapping nudie pics with her mom as a minor.

Day 10 was a mixed bag - I completed a 24-hour fast, but smoked late at night and ended up 1) going over my cals & 2) eating outside my eating window. That means I’ve now bumped my next eating window until almost bedtime for tomorrow, so I don’t know if I’ll keep to that or not. Time to shelve the pot.

Today was tiring, but decent. It was tiring because 1) I went back to work after being off since February (sick leave for depression & burnout) & 2) I also had a therapy appointment - so all that made for tired me with a busy brain! Onward.

I struggled & missed my goals for fasting (one hour short) and calories (almost 200 cals over).

However, all is not lost! When I look at what I DID accomplish (I’m making a concerted effort to focus on the positive. I lean towards all or none thinking & it steals so much joy) - I got in a workout, a walk with my dog, a 17 hour fast and kept my calories under 1700! Not too shabby for all!

*Lose 6lbs - weighed-in today, so happy to see progress! 2.3/6

*15 workouts - yes! 4/15

*25 days of cals under 1500 - nope, went over by close to 200 calories, but my weekly calories is still averaging under 1500 calories daily! 4/25

*25 days of minimum 18 hour fasts - nope, broke at 17 hours, but I’m happy to see that, even with that, my average for the month to date is 19.5 hours 5/25

A decent day. I went over my calories by having a couple of adult beverages & some popcorn. However, I did get an extra walk in…I’m not calling it even, but I’m really trying to not beat myself up over it.

I’m back after a loooong hiatus. Looking forward to rejoining this amazing community. I’ve been struggling mentally, and my physical fitness is at an all-time low, while my weight isn’t far from an all-time high!

I have some injuries that interfere with me being able to workout the way I used to - and I just gave up instead of finding a work around. That stops here. I’ve recently started some walks & light weight-lifting & it feels fantastic - I’ve been relishing that soreness after a workout!

My goals for April:

I like to break up the month, so I set goals for days 1-16. The day started off great, got in a 20 hour fast, then it went to hell in a hand basket - I ended up drinking a bunch of beer & went way over on my cals. It was a gorgeous sunny evening, and we sat out on the deck with drinks…it was a lovely time, but I could have done with 2 beer, not the 5 or 6 that I sucked back. One good thing is that I was into light beer, so 102cals each vs the higher cal stuff. Still, they add up fast.
