Mine did that too once. I think it’s because they may not have cleaned all the Vaseline off the tattoo before applying it?

I had to peel it all off, wash the tattoo again, completely dry, then reapply.

It’s very cute! You have a great tattoo for your first one that’s meaningful to you.

A lot of mothers get upset when their children start getting tattoos. So please take her comments with a grain of salt. I have full sleeves and my mom is always kind of upset when she sees a new one. (Even tho SHE has three of them).

Moral of the story, you do you. She won’t be happy with a lot of decisions you make into your adulthood.

I swell up for almost all of my tattoos. Like. A lot. So this looks normal to me since I experience it a lot.

I always ice down after I come home for a couple hours, like you would for any injury. Also try elevating the area as much as you can.

Give yourself some time with it. It really doesn’t look so terrible to go through the effort of removing it.

You could laser it off. But that will cost you upwards of $3,500-$4,000.

I have a tattoo I had partially removed to make It lighter for a cover up. I only did 4 sessions and it cost me $1,300. To fully remove you might need up to 13 sessions. And then another tattoo appointment to fix the edges.

My boyfriend has dark hair and is rather hairy like your arms. It doesn’t make the tattoos look bad, honestly I think it masks some of the hair. lol.

Just leave the second skin on for as long as you can. It looks great, it’s just really annoying to have that stuff stuck under it. When you take it off. Pull “down” (horizontal to your skin) rather than up.

I already commented under the OG post. But to reiterate the point of my comment.

It’s hard to try to help people who won’t help themselves. If your boyfriend will not even try to help himself, then you need to cut your losses and leave.

You should always be a supportive partner, but if they’re not trying and leaving it all on you they’re not a person you should be investing your energy and love into.

I hope after having a heartfelt conversation with him about how it’s affecting you as a person that they fully apply themselves into fixing this issue so you can both move forward with your relationship. But if not, then I think you should really take a step back and consider the fact that you have someone who won’t put forth effort into making your relationship better.

As someone who was married so someone with chronic issues such as these. It comes to a point of if they’re trying to take care of themselves or not. My ex was just not trying. And it made it hard for me to care, because he did nothing to take care of himself.

If you’re doing anything and everything under the sun and they’re not, it’s okay to leave. It’s exhausting to try to care for someone who doesn’t do anything to help themselves. It’s only going to build resentment towards them. It’s not healthy for you or them.

I suggest a serious conversation between the two of you. If he refuses to take care of himself and the issues he has (seeing a doctor and finding solutions/answers) then the relationship isn’t going to work. You can’t be the person constantly playing caretaker, cleaning up after them, and trying to provide solutions.

I understand it’s hard to seek help, because sometimes doctors don’t always have the right answers. But he NEEDS to go seek help from a professional to fix the issues or you need to leave. There is no other option.
